First time having it? Any previous episodes?Originally posted by SBS9828X:Dear Doctors,
Since last night, while watching the TV, i had pains on my left eye. Its not sore eyes but some sort of pain when being hit but no marks. The pain is like having ur eyes bitten by mosquitoe. Exact location is on the top-left eyelid. Pain had caused me lack of sleep.

Do you think the Vit C is enough for me as i am easy prone to cold and flu.Originally posted by renorenal:Yes, it will cause 'heatiness' if taken in excess, some of these vitamins and minerals when taken in excessive amount is toxic and harmful to the body. The MVT you are taking is quite alright, as long as you keep your vitamin K levels within normal range by your carrots that you mentioned, they can also be found in green leafy vegetables, cabbages, cucumbers and beans.
no... but now wenever i blink, theres pain... seems likr theres a little hump on itOriginally posted by renorenal:First time having it? Any previous episodes?
There is a possibility that there is a pustule inside it caused by poor hygiene or through dust irritation. You can either gently lift the eyelid to check yourself or get a GP to do it for you. It is more sterile the latter way.Originally posted by SBS9828X:no... but now wenever i blink, theres pain... seems likr theres a little hump on it
Your current intake of vit C is more than enoughOriginally posted by subarugal:Do you think the Vit C is enough for me as i am easy prone to cold and flu.

ok ok.. tks..Originally posted by renorenal:Your current intake of vit C is more than enough
The upper intake level as suggested by RDA is 2000mg/day, but I wouldn't recommend you going more than 300 mg/day...
jus curious how much mg is that?Originally posted by subarugal:ok ok.. tks..
meaning to say can i conclude as in any vitamins or etc excessive cause heatiness. coz it did happen when i drink lots of Vitamin C..

More like protects the skin lerr... I dunno about making it look more whitish or smooth but it's been known that they can keep the skin moist and helps in the texture (soft) as well.Originally posted by subarugal:hey dear
Heard from some friends and etc.. having enough in take of vitamins and minerals help us to look better in skin etc.. SOme say able to maintance youth of skin like avocada ?
Is that true or its it myth ?
Oh.. oh ... vain side of me..
Time to cut down... taking a lot of vitamin C is no harm, since it gets excreted (all of it). But as the explanation provided above, you need to have a balanced fluid intake as well, otherwise you might get sick more often...Originally posted by subarugal:

an i develop some sore throat pain.
More like the water solubles, and not really that of the fat solubles. There are certain minerals which may cause these effect as well, but is of insignificant relativity to the vitamins as minerals are provided in such small amount in most supplements that their effect is not overwhelming.Originally posted by subarugal:ok ok.. tks..

Scars if left alone will resolve over time, though it may take a matter of months to years to go off. So far, there are not much medical products that are safe enough to help you rid off these scars...Originally posted by thousandisland:i've got some ugly acne scars on my chest... bought some exofoliating scrub but so far still not of much use? any ways to get rid of scars?

This reflects to your condition of being allergic to certain things, such as your contact lenses, or the beddings in your room (mattresses, curtains, carpets or mets that can easily collect dustmites - plus it's a warm and moist environment in our tropical countries). Allergic conjunctivitis is fairly common, which is closely followed by viral conjunctivitis. Since it is allergic, you may want to find out if there has been a history of you having asthma, eczema, drug allergies or having allergic rhinitis (persistent nose block, watery discharge and sneezing).Originally posted by subarugal:i am on the other side of eyes problem
Recently having irritation red eyes whenever i woke up in the morning.
Notice having very itch eyes esp at the corner nearer to tears duct area.
Sometime rubbing with force during sleep time, when i woke up in the morning my eye ball (white) swell badly ask if there is a bruise with water.
But after few hrs the eye ball will be back to normal, i am suspecting its the contact lens or the wrong mascara use. Will it be the case ?
Tear production continues day in and day out, only difference being the day our eyes are kept open and blink at certain period of times or should I say intermittently to help clear the tears away towards the tear duct located near your nose. When one is asleep, the eyelids shut tight and prevent the fluids from clearing off, hence it gets collected at and around the conjunctiva (mostly in the lower eyelids - known as palpebral conjunctiva).Originally posted by huiz:my eyes tears whenever i sleep at nite...y issit so? the next morning i wake up my eyes will be a bit wet wet one & i wasnt crying over anything or upset in the first place. issit normal?
sometimes when i sit down, i will feel a little breathless tat i feel i muz take a deep breath or else my body's gonna starved of oxygen. y issit so? issit asthma?
Originally posted by huiz:Firstly, it can be your mascara that you have applied on, but do you also use nail varnishes or polishers? If you do, you might undoubtedly rub your eyes with it and you may be allergic towards it, but this is not in your case.
yah i am female but i dun wear eye makeup, except for some foundation near my eyes. first i apply concealor to lighten my dark circles then apply foundation over it.
my eyes' inner corner does itch & i will scratch the skin near the eyes' corner a few times in a day.
i noticed i get the breathless feeling when i am sitting down...on bus or at work sitting down. it could be sitting down & doing nothing at all. issit the posture? i always try to sit straight against my chair although i will unconsciously slouch a little.
If it is allergy, vitamin C might not be able to counter this problem.Originally posted by subarugal:very bad now.
body system seems to break down.
still having bad cold with block nostril.
so it is allergy after all... the best way is to avoid it as per se... all the best!Originally posted by huiz:then it muz be the skin near the eyes being sensitive to the cosmetics i use. last time i had a bad allergic reaction on tat skin area when i applied something on it.
