What kind of pain and where?Originally posted by StarPuppy:need advice
Does heaty food cause ear pain if too heaty?
Fever kills the viruses and some bacterias, so when your body is infected, the natural defensive reaction of the body is to increase the temperature to kill the beasts. When the viruses or bacterias get killed, the natural reaction of the body is to lower the temperature. Through sweating toxical and junky substances get out of the body.Originally posted by DeathEdge:Oo.. Hi, just wondering how come sometime when we have fever, we have a sleep then sweat out everything.. the fever sorta resided.. how come ah?
Say when you have a viral fever, the virus stimulates the release of various chemicals known as cytokines, such as interleukin-1 (IL-1) and tumour necrosis factor (TNF-alpha). They reset the thermostat in the hypothalamus of the brain to raise the body temperature.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:When you exercise, body temperatures go up. To make sure that your body doesn't overheat, you sweat. When the sweat evaporates, it leaves a cooling effect, therefore cooling your body.
I guess the same thing applies. My bio teacher explained, not me.
Interleukins are cytokines (chemical messengers that serve as signalling molecules between cells). Interleukins are cytokines that mediate signals between ('inter') white blood cells (leukocytes) cytokines...; hence interleukins.Originally posted by alfagal:hey oxford,
speaking of interleukin, does the numbers represent different things? eg. IL-1 and IL-2..
wat is interleukin btw? neurochemicals?
Because she has a stroke before, she goes back to hospital for regular checkups and the doctors there prescribed lots of medication.Originally posted by thinkdifferent:Which kind of medication and for what does she take? There are some pills (diuretics) which cause peeing often, but I don't think your grandma has to take them everyday.
The reason for visiting the toilet very often can be: Diabetes - does your grandma have diabetes? If not, she should get checked for it.
Kindney failure, cystitis (inflamation of the bladder), urethrocystitis (infamation of the bladder and urinary tract), ureteritis (inflamation of the urether)
Does she have also pain in the lower abdomen area or anywhere else?.
If such often peeing isn't normal for your grandmother, she should see a doctor. It can be a GP who finds out the reason and then he can send her to an appropriate specialist if needed.
I have this dull ear pain on my right...my left ear is okOriginally posted by thinkdifferent:What kind of pain and where?
You'd probably have a 'pimple' in the ear canal or the ear itself. Since the skin is snuggly attached to the cartilaginous structure of both the outer ear and the outer part of the canal, any swelling will increase the tautness of the skin leading to extreme sensitivity to touch (pain).Originally posted by StarPuppy:I have this dull ear pain on my right...my left ear is ok
my right ear hurts when i touch it...the feeling is like someone just pulled your ear
over liao.. only for that dayOriginally posted by thinkdifferent:Is the burning over now or do you still feel it?
Yes it could be, though the removers, same as the eye make up, should consist of substances which don't irritate the eyes and don't cause any allergy, they are chemicals anyway and they always can cause irritation or allergy by senstivie persons.Originally posted by alfagal:hey thinkdifferent,
i was wondering, since e two ladies, subarugal and huiz both wear make up, could there be a chance that they are allerigic to the eye make up remover too, if they use one tat is..
As I told you, diuretics can cause much peeing, but as I don't know the exactly health state of your grandma, I can't tell you if she takes them or not.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Because she has a stroke before, she goes back to hospital for regular checkups and the doctors there prescribed lots of medication.
She takes calcium pills (white in colour), medication for high blood pressure and iron tablets (quite a lot). Not quite sure if she has diabetes because the doctors also never say, even though she takes blood tests every time when she goes for checkups.
Every few months will have a checkup, and yesterday she had her checkup.Originally posted by thinkdifferent:As I told you, diuretics can cause much peeing, but as I don't know the exactly health state of your grandma, I can't tell you if she takes them or not.
When was her last checkup?
Yes, from blood the docs can see whether she has diabetes or not (and also if the kidney are alright). If the last check up was months ago, I would suggest a checkup for diabetes. And if it isn't diabetes, then I would suggest a check up on the bladder and urinary tract.
maybe you're not doing it right or overdoing it as in overstretching ur muscles during warm ups or u forgot to do the same thing after you exercised to allow ur body to cool down?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Why is it that despite sufficient warm-up exercises I still get muscle cramps? I warm up for about 15 minutes. I also do a lot of stretches during warm-ups, but don't know why muscle cramps.
Never overstretched. Do the best I can manage. For cooling down, the process is much shorter. 5 minutes only or even shorter. Does this affect?Originally posted by renorenal:maybe you're not doing it right or overdoing it as in overstretching ur muscles during warm ups or u forgot to do the same thing after you exercised to allow ur body to cool down?
then u should try experimenting on exercising for a shorter duration and see the effect... sometimes... it's our mind that is telling us we can do it instead of us thinking about our muscles... so much for mind over body control... there is a limit in everything...Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Never overstretched.
