Typically, the harbinger to heart attack has many bases...
Primarily, the comorbid diseases seems to be of a stronger point such as:-
1) Hypertension (High blood pressure)
2) Diabetes Mellitus
3) Hypercholesterolemia (High cholesterol)
4) Hyperlipidemia (High fatty content)
5) Having a family history of heart disease
6) Smoking
7) Excessive alcohol drinking - but it causes another heart disease rather than heart attack... its called alcoholic cardiomyopathy...
The other risk factors are basically those that lead to the above condition and they include:-
1) Nintendo-nization
2) Sedentary lifestyle (couch potato)
3) Lack of exercise
4) Eating red meats and foods high in carbo (Diet)
5) Obesity
.... the rest would be quite minor factors, but the above are the usual compounding factors... -

yeah everyone says that those bases can cause an attack, but physiologically how? can describe a walkthrough? (if u are free tat is..) -

Primarily what happens is that you need a blood vessel to get clogged up before a heart attack can actually happen...
This blood vessel in the heart is called the coronary circulations... there are two main branches that comes out from the heart outlet (the aorta)...
Hypertension, Diabetes and High cholesterol levels are well-known to destroy the blood vessels. I shall list this here:-
Hypertension - the jet pressure of the blood flow continuously over time tears the fragile vessel wall leading to trauma and slow repair may cause clot formation (which is called thrombus)... but since hypertension is chronic, the continuous trauma may still happen onto the clot and burst the clot even further leading to another clot formation on top of the old clot... this is called superimposition of clots...
So slowly but surely, the whole artery will get clogged... symptoms appear once the diameter is clogged up more than 70%
Diabetes and high cholesterol levels - occur together as the body metabolism is screwed up... what happens here is that the cholesterol levels are so high that it gets accumulated within small arteries and damage the vessel wall... there is a LONG pathological process here which I will leave to oxford mushroom...
Smoking - is well known to cause sticky platelets which their function is to clot up or plug broken vessel wall... sticky platelets will cause them to occur together much closer and have a raised tendency to form thrombus excessively if there is a damage of the vessel wall...
NOTE that most patients present with all diabetes and hypertension together... i hardly see any that only have one factor coz diabetes can also lead to hypertension... some ppl who have hypertension alone may develope kidney infarcts, heart attack and strokes as well.. silently coz hypertension is silent... with no symptom presentation... -

The patient must be on heparin for the rest of his life with this stenting to prevent thrombus formation on the stent which may spoil it...
A stent can last up to 10 years but it really depends on which one that you use, this have to seek a cardiology's opinion...
Yes, the arteries are very flexible... though they are more muscular than veins and has smaller lumens, but they are flexible enough to pump the blood to the peripheral organs...
During a heart attack, the heart will go static, or more rather go into an arrhythmic condition (beating out of rhythm or not in rhythm with the natural pacemaker)... when the heart is in the arrhythmic condition, it fails to pump effectively and blood in the heart pools up and may even go all the way back towards the lung (recall anatomy) in severe acute condition...
Ermm... breathing deeply won't help that much, the best method is to carry out CPR and get someone to call the ambulance to initiate Code Red in the A/E dept of the particular hospital...
Basic Life Support must be initiated no matter what, recall your DR ABC...

wen a person suffers heart attack and faints, u can stuff 'slushy' down the throat. It can restart the heart, and revived the person even from near death.
Note: Slushy is the cold drink made from miniscule ice particles. -
My grandmother died of Nephritis which is inflammation of the kidney.
