I think TCS should do a survey from my mum age group..dun tell lies...my mother stay up late for HK drama in Ch.U but will not for TCS drama why??

I think you should subscribe to SCV so that your mum no need to stay up late for HK drama...
Generally, HK drama more original than MC productions and nicer...
Alternatively, teach your mum IT so she can visit crunchyroll and watch there...

Agree too.TVB HK dramas are way better than spore's standards...more variety too..as in different drama different plot unlike our "great" mediacock like to repeat their plots time and time again...
and with their malaysian colloboration ,its even worse...the upcoming 7pm show replacing the nonsense kinship is a drama with repeated plot but with new malaysian n spore cast...The last one they had huangbiren , chen hanwei as sissy...Ou xuan the girl with BO...
Go 1 step further,i watch the latest HK dramas by torrent even before starhub screens them..heehee

i prefer hk drama to sg drama anytime. the actors are good. they don't over act their roles. their show of anger, sorrow, fear, frustration, the intensity, are all just right. sg actors tend to overdo it.
the storyline's better. sgdrama now keep doing those family theme. just because holland V was a great hit. i miss peroidic dramas.
now, i'm addicted to House. an american medical drama.

I doubt mediacorp will produce anymore period drama, since there was a fire in their periodic (stage/warerobe ??) a few yrs ago ...
For HK drama, u can try VCD/DVD rentals also ... faster than the bloody cable TV ... -

I heard the vietnamese like HK dramas even dubbed in vietnamese and know the HK artisties better then us:) in the end quality counts like that how SG be media hub??

My mum like taiwanese dramas....for me I prefer HK ones maybe I'm cantonese and the dramas acting much more natural

My number one pick is also Hkg dramas. TVB or ATV, it's alright by me.
I do enjoy Mediacorp series too especially with Chen LiPing in it. I like Aileen Tan too.
Taiwan series? A few here and there.
Korean = so far, I've only watched ONE series : Hotelier
Japanese = none
Chinese collaborated series = watched a number of them. I like these too. Good to see Hkg artists, Sg artists, Twn artists and Chinese artists together. Tricky part is prefering to watch in which language.
