Huang Yi's novel seems quite hot as HK drama script.
It's a good thing lah. At least the public can know more about curent Mou Hap novel author's work.

Huang Yi's A Step into the Past has a very big influence. If you notice online Chinese novels (those written by fans for fans) , especially those about history one, you will see the influence. The influence is so big that almost all of this genre of novel is like a copy of A Step into the Past.
I'm thinking of writing a thesis for my degree about this thing, but dunno which teacher should I approach.... -

Though its really an interesting issue on how modern man when going back into the past knows so much compared to the folks there. Of course if you skip the part on time travelling, it actually mixed fun, wiity and streetssmart into an ancient culture.
But I dwell more into Sci-Fi. -
I wonder does Waise Lee acted in this show.
If he acted in this show, I guess he would have killed the mother of Raymond Lam's character, as in all previous Huang Yi's novel-adapted drama. -
Now this is what I called drama.
After 40 grueling episodes of love, hate, passion, empathy, responsibilities, lies, trust, etc, etc...
The show has ended just now at SCV VV channel. So many have perished in the show but still a good ending worth watching over and over again. -
