Another one of those War & Beauty type of drama. Same producers anyways. But this one, a little bit violent and harsh.
Complicated love stories, triangles here and there. From the synopsis, do not seem to have a straight-forward couple.
Base storyline? Don't know leh. Gotta watch first. -
Watched till episode 6 liao. Wah, got riveted leh.
Ada plays villian. As of now, not so convincing. Bowie Lam is another villian. Wah lah, his facial expressions can kill man!!!! Very heong.
It's hard on these artists to be filming in the dessert. Must be darn siong.
As of now, Gigi Lai has the best performance. She's really good!!!
Storyline?
Well, two major clans in this village. The Song and the Yim. Ada plays matriach of the Song. Bowie is the lao pang of the Yim. Both at loggerheads but I read somewhere, they will eventually fall in love, although Bowie has married Gigi Lai. But Gigi doesn't love him, it was an arranged marriage. And Bowie is a wife-beater.
Okay, these two clans fighting for power. So, that's about the backbone of the story so far. And the rest of the sub plots are to jive up the drama.
Can't wait for Friday to collect more disc.

Bowie, head of Yim clan and Ada, head of Song clan. Loggerheads for now but will become lovers later.

Gigi is Bowie's wife through arranged marriage. She hated Bowie in the beginning but soon learn to love him.
As at episode 6, that hasn't happen. -
Gigi and Charmaine are buddies in this series. Charmaine is the mistress to Kenny Wong. However, she later fell in love with Moses and has an affair with him. Well, actually, Kenny didn't consumate his marriage with her anyways. -
Kenny and Maggie are husband & wife. -

They premier at 36 points. One of the highest for opening. Hopefully it will stay that way. Such a strong cast and reading the synopsis on TVB site, there will be many twists and turns of events.
I patiently awaits Fridays to pick up the disc. But everyday, I will read the synopsis. I don't mind spoilers. -
Watched till espisode 24 late last night (or was it morning)
Wah lau, good guys become bad, bad guys become good. I take revenge on you, you take revenge on me. Plot very thick ley. But I like.
Ada and Gigi were very good in this series. For once, I am seeing Ada as a villian and man, she is good!!! Gigi (phew, thankfully) discarded that heavy breath when she talks so it showed a remarkable improvement from War of Beauty. She is a hot one too!!!
But of course, my favourite is Maggie Shiu.

Changed my mind about Ada being not convincing as villian. She's good at it.
Gigi is good in this series also. Got many hidden plots. And Maggie changed from a demure housewife into a "tai tong ka".
But surprisingly, the ratings have been gradually dropping. Hmm.... -

You like the ending ah? Hmm......okay lah. As in TVB fashion, ending like always in a rush like that. I like Man Hei and Ming Fung's ending. So sweet and touching.
Sadly, the rating not as what they expected. If peeps watch the makings of, they will appreciate that it was a lot of hardship for the artists and workers to film in those conditions. -

i also thought it is some dancing drama. is it heavy-feeling like War and Beauty? although W & B is good, it is too heavy-feeling for me to re-watch again.
