The fact is that most of us live in HDB flats, that the void deck is so common to us.
I remember that I used to play so many games in the void deck. Now after all the upgrades and all, the void deck is just a... void deck.
Hmm... last time my old flat's void deck used to have a wall which has holes in it. I wonder if they have that in other void decks.
I used to play circus there; trying to squeeze through the holes in the fastest time possible. Well, I guess i can't do it anymore.
In my childhood with my brother, I was like a tomboy. We didn't have a lot of toys so most of our times are spent in games like hopscotch, catching, blind men's buff...
The void deck was like a playground to us.

Back in the "old" days. We used to play inside longkangs and climb trees. I watched the guys catch fish at the time.
We explored abandoned flats that were supposed to be condemmed and pretend that it was haunted. It was so cool trying to scare each other like that.
And of course lah, the main dish would be zero point. No self respecting kid wont be without her zero point. My primary teacher always insisted that zero point will make us grow taller - I stopped playing cos I was taller then my mom at primary 6. Heh .. I shouldnt have done that huh? Now I'm one shortie
Ok what did I use to play, leaves and twigs and stuff .. for what? The number one game of course! Masak- masak!! -
By the way me also same with u. when i around 14 to 16 years of age i always play alot of games like police and thef, red indian, block hide and seek and many others.Me now longer can play anymore cause i'm 17 years old liao and recently move to a new place around sun plaza. Void decks at there are really damm quiet. No my ppl playing at void decks. By the way how are u?

Yep...I agree. Still rem viod deck was a place for kids to gather, play hop-scotch etc. Now, u see signs like no cycling, no football...no this no that.....it has really becomes "void".

the place is still much the same..but the kids here dun play downstairs anymore....mebbi too bz....mebbi got playstn at home...
i used to play one-leg, catching, police-catch-thief, those kinda games...i rem playing hide-n-seek within the whole blk! tat was exciting

interesting topic..
when i was young..used to play @ the playground, got loads of stuffs to play, like catching & hide & seek...roller skating...not BLADING..last time where got roller blade hor?? heheeee...remember once was with my cousin playing catching @ the playground, but ended up quarrelling...then i gave him a punch & he went home crying for mummy..heheheeee...in the end, went home kena eat kuay teow from my aunt

Anyway now kids are getting out of hand and kids now aday are damm pamper. They get what they want...just like the chinese proverds saying...want wind get wind, want rain get rain...and now all kids get Ps, PC, Gameboy, etc, me my time no lah....no such thing.... the only i have was transformer and transformers kinda out of date liao...now kids also has lots of allowance so that they can buy anything they want.. kid in primary school have handphone some more and i think is that such a need for this kid....i think the answer is no...they just wanna show off....me different...want anything u have to get it urself...no way will my parents buy for me... and i think kids now have more luxories than us....any way just to advertise...pls kindly visit cafe cartel at raffles city next to starbucks coffee and just to inform u all i'm working that as a part timer....food that is very gd and remeber it is not a fast food restuarnt...u have to wait for ur food cause it has to be cook....
