Would fellow singaporeans please help out. Any advise is great.
I am a singapore who ran to USA to study. Now that I have graduated I am thinking of returning home. I call CMPB and talked to a Major. He asked me to return home and all i will get is a fine probably no jail. Anyone with experiences ?
I have been here for 4 years, no bond.
Thanks bros but just miss nasi lemak.

so you when to study without paying the deposit or attaind an exit permit....is that it? could you get a letter so that everything is pre-arranged no suprised? after all if you are going back to serve NS right and not to run off.
Also anyway maybe you can talk to the counsellor here in the US...they might be able to work out something internally...no harm done right.
to note: make sure in your letter you don't mention you miss nasi lemark...tell them u are a great singaporean....you wanna return to the Fatherland...okay..
I'm a defaulter too. One year older than the thread starter. Would like to head back and sort it out before I'm truly too old. Pity about that whole Melvyn Tan business. Made it trickier for people who genuinely want to head back and serve.
