Hi,
Just wanted to write a little warning to all... My iphone is water damaged.. Sent for first consultation they wanted to charge me $210, thought it is a little expensive.. So I didnt go ahead with repair..
On my way home conveniently stopped by a cellphone shop near tiong bahru plaza.. the guy said can repair $80-$120.. collect within 2 days so i agreed.
received a phone call from him saying it will cost $185 instead, I sensed something wrong so took it back. Finally someone recommended me a shop so i sent it for diagnosis.. turns out the second shop deliberately damaged my phone, the IC chip on the motherboard, spoilt my battery.. Now phone is beyond repair..
I know it's a mistake on my part to trust a random cellphone shop, just very surprised there're people like that out there... cannot fix still want to further damage my phone.. very unprofessional.
just very sian and want to rant it out knowing that I have to suck thumb and can't do anything about it..
Apart from reporting to CASE to prevent him from doing the same to other consumers, which I don't know if its useful.. I dont know what else I can do about it. :(
apart from feeling sorry, if anyone has a solution for me to get back whatever damages done to me, please let me know! its not me to back off without a fight when unjust is done.
can u prove it?
If i had an iphone which I damaged, first and only place I would send it is Apple. And knowing Apple, repairs cannot be cheap.

the only prove is in the shop's record book, I guess it doesn't count much.. I could go back and pretend I want to fix it again and record down the whole conversation if I have to. and he's still insisting he could have it fixed for that price when I went back to confront him.
I didnt send it to apple because I knew it was expensive, I guess it turned out to be an expensive lesson learnt.
no proof, then how?
