I understand how you're feeling
form a facebook sarpok group
find those living near u to join
i tip TNP
but i wrote to straits times forum liao
see if they print or not
maybe they will say, dun ride bike
change to car
so they can suck more $ from season parking, ERP.......
should i send email or go down personally next month?
they cfm ask you "llst go park somewhere else thank you,mai give excuses"
i already tell them to come down and see the situation
if they dare
knn, all sit in office and dunno the situation
but its ok also, me send email to MP see how first
HDB can reply all they want
but the fact is that it doesn't make sense for a season parking ticket holder to park illegally in their own carpark if there are lots available.
Twenty five dollars fine means parking in a place other than a parking space. That means you parked outside the the box. Any where outside the box will kena. Especially around midnight, quickly book a few then can go home and sleep.
I also kena once, parking at a place that was once two car lots, but was screeded over and the lines not painted yet. No cars park there only motorcycles. All kena summoned. I went to the Area HDB office to appeal, and it was waived. That space was later converted to motorcycle lots. My argument was that motorcycles have been parking there for sometime without being ticketed, and the MSCP is popular because of the location. Cars and motorcycles of the neighbouring blocks prefer to park there rather than go the one deeper inside the estate. Season parking allows parking at all three MSCP in the estate, so cannot argue not enough space. For you no space means no space at the lower decks of the MSCP next to your block, to them there is ample space in your estate.
Go to the area office to appeal, the chances are better than writing in.
my season parking allows 2 carparks
BOTH carpark bike lots are FULL
everyone wants to park at the other one, not the one near my place.
now my place is FULL
so should i be faulted for the lack of lots?
The number of parking space is fixed.
Most probably over sold season parking spaces.

exactly! You can't fight city hall. Pay the fine and take solace in knowing that you weren't in the wrong.
Here in the US if you don't pay the fine or don't appear in court an arrest warrant will be issued.....they might not come looking for you but the next time you get pulled over is when the real trouble happens.
its ok
i have just taken photos (unedited and with timestamp) because there is no space AGAIN
and i took photos of the other carpark which i can park at, and as usual there are no lots.
now i will bring this up to MP

that doesn't solve the pertaining problem of lack of slots
then what? pay and get fined again and again?
like i said, paying the $25 is easy, but that isn't going to give us any solution.
Not enough parking lots?
They should do it like the night parking, increase the parking charges by 100%-200%, that usually solves the problem, in no time there would be more empty parking lots.
If it still doesn't solve the problem increase another 400%, 800%, 1600%, there will come a point where there will be empty parking lots available. This is abit like the ERP system also, you just push the problem somewhere else, but the problem still exist.
I have seem some folks wheeling their motorbikes into their 3 room HDB, that is if you live on the ground floor.
Just suck it up and pay, you cannot fight the govt.
would you believe if these parking wardens have a quota to hit every month? If I'm their scholar boss, I would surely implement that. Hitting two birds with one stone.....earn higher revenue and efficient law enforcement. And also an outstanding KPI for the top brass. Make it three birds then haha.
Maybe the parking wardens also have a commission system? The more they fine, the more they earn. Well, of course this is just my speculation.

that's beside the point...
if you sell 12 tickets for 10 spaces, and then 2 cannot park yet have a right to park, then you go and fine the 2 which cannot find parking space, that's almost like entrapment...
i'd fight HDB.. see if the dare to publish their account to see how much season parking they sell...
if they are bloody selling more than they have lots, they will have a lot to answer for
It’s like the parking lot situation near my office
They took up a WHOLE carpark and made it part of the Peoples’ Association
Then they started fining people because the season parking doesn’t cover the next nearest carpark at Jalan Besar stadium
And when you write to URA, they tell you there are more than enough parking space after they took away the whole carpark
And the best part was even with the whole carpark around then, there was not enough parking space.
So end of the day, I think it’s some kind of entrapment thingy going on
lets open those cans of worms~

Lol. I work at PA before. Seriously, that's the only nearest carpark for them. Qing duo duo yuan liang.
our MPs and Prime Minister office lose to HDB
they say they got the mail from the 2 fellas up there, they still want me to pay and they still say got enough lots (which means they won't bother to try to improve the situation)
i will appear at MP session to show all the photos.
how many times do they want to tell me that there are enough lots? until i kena brainwashed?
Rich people have so much problems.
