disclaimer: i'm not prejudiced against the PRCs or any other foreigners in our country, just voicing out on some personal experiences..
it's been more than once since i've been bumped into by these PRC chinese, and when they knocked into me, the very least they could do was apologize. not only did they not do that, they stared at me as though i was the one who knocked into them! like wtf man. some just knock into you, and just act as though nothing happened and walked away.
sheesh, if it happened to me once or twice i wouldn't give a rat's ass about it. but damn it happened more times than i have fingers to count..
and some PRCs (not sure if you guys have seen any) just sit on the floor in the middle of the train like it's perfectly alright.. didn't know the fare they paid for included personal space on the train floor. heh. if the train's not crowded and they wanna do so, go ahead by all means do so..
NOT WHEN THE DAMN TRAIN IS CROWDED AND YOU'RE BLOCKING THE WHOLE WORLD.
dammit.
I'm really annoyed with those who speak really loud in their silly curly-tongue accents.

yea it's almost classical.
only 3 possibilities:
1) he/she is deaf
2) the party on the phone is deaf
3) he/she thinks they are damn cool talking LOUDLY on their mobile, like everybody else didn't exist.
I am chinese, first of all, i am sorry for what u going through
second, i havent seen the knocking thing happen, maybe i don pay attention
and third, i did see people sit on the floor once, they r singaporean students, i could see they get so tired
so what happen to you not only caused by PRCs
no offense

I must say not all PRCs are like that.some are very polite, every country got its on kuku ppl.
Well,if u been to china like me always for business trip, u can also see them sit,lie on floor when its damm crowded on their train.
Reason i can think of is their journey is very long, so sit, when ppl wan to move, they jus move abit to let the person pass.Mayb it had become a habit for them so they also do it in sg lor.
Train in china hv tipical 4 parts.软,硬,软座 & 硬座。At 1st i duuno, i buy 软座fticket & sit for 6 hours, can see ppl all buay tahan sit on floor.tis might be 1 of the reason.Their train tickets for 软座&硬座 is not by seating capicity.but by the total amount of ppl allowable on that single trip.So hv too many ppl over seats.
But when i in china take mrt in the city, sometimes can see those living in the more rural part also sit on floor..Its just they hv the mentality of taking the "mrt" as "train".

Its like one of those lame performers in those stupid "Xian Shen" PRC stand-up comedies. They have this strong annoying Beijing nasal curly-tongue accent.

I think it'll depend on which part of China they were from.
But to be fair, there are heaps of Singaporeans who spits too.
Its ok with me if they do it into the drain if they really must etc, but some of them spit on the pavement!!!

True true, some sg ppl also jia lat like my home here also hv dunno who always spits in the lift...sigh...
hearing their 'china-chinese' accent is A WHOLE LOT better than hearing singaporeans trying to fake an 'ang-mo' accent when overseas.
and for the bumping thing. deal with it sucker. it happens. in just about any part of the world.
singapore can only attract PRCs of lower economic and social stature, whereas for those PRCs that i met in Oz are mainly of professional and upper classes. so, bottomline, if u open the flood gate and let every tom, dick and harry in, the chances u will get some social upheaval and bad elements in as well.
i met one PRC who bought two properties each at $600k+ all in cashes!
I positively agree.
You know I got pushed by one impossibly anal china girl yesterday. There was about half a metre of space for her to walk, she's slim, but no, as she was saying excuse me, she had to PUSH ME. I told her off, she had the nerves to reply that she said EXCUSE ME.
That's lame. You mean just because you said excuse me, you can push others? She didn't even let me step aside she just pushed me. I hate china ppl.

wow! got money = upper classes?
many ppl play golf but only few got golf etiquette
some PRCs are very very polite
but some are black sheeps.
I hv met both.
Same for Singaporeans.
Conclusion: No difference :(
what i can't stand is that they don't understand english.
especially so many of them are driving buses. so when i needed to ask direction, they can't direct, quite frustrating
yea i do agree that not all PRCs are like that.. but the ones i've personally had encounters with.. gah.
maybe all i can hope is that when i wake up the next day, all the foreigners have suddenly become super polite and courteous and considerate.. LOL
i dont really mind PRCs if they can change. although some of them are really annoying -.-
some are annoying. but at least there are a small bunch of them who are nice.

You should take a trip to Korea. Being knocked by a Korean is NO BIG DEAL. They don't give a hoot to what you feel, because it's part of their culture. If you knock them back, it's also no big deal.
Sit on floor, talk loudly, I have met so many Singaporeans who do those stuff too.
Chinese accent? Seriously, we Singaporeans can't even speak decent mandarin. Don't know what you guys are complaining about.

Dont u think yourself poor? Dont try to think about people get changing, deal with yourself, that's no big deal.
After one week or one month or one year, do u remember the tiny episode? People r different, they have their own reasons to do it.
Why they do that because they grow in a different environment , so make he or she different. Not like u growing in a polite environment thinking people become polite or something.
GUY, just grow up

Lemme just say this....
Some PRCs are indeed rude, but then again, I know of quite a few nice ones. Like that PRC guy who willingly took some time off to teach me how to run a computer simulation.
Same goes for Singaporeans. Some are rude, some are not.
The fella who shoved me against my gf in his haste to catch a train was not a PRC.
The makcik who invoked the name of God before shoving me from behind (I kid you not) while we were boarding a train was not PRC; she was local as well.
So.... let's be a little less liberal when it comes to the tar and brush, yah?
Hmm I dunno, most of the PRCs I know are quite nice.
