I don't think it helps. I have Googled for similar cases and PayPal couldn't care much unless you have proof from the shipping company that the goods was delivered and signed. But what can I do for a digital goods? Tell Skype to e-mail PayPal a copy of the chat logs and the file transfer event? As if Skype would care as well.Originally posted by fairlady_xoxo:You can call up and report this to Paypal. So far i have no problems with transactions.
Hmmm...that's rather unfortunateOriginally posted by LatecomerX:I don't think it helps. Besides, when they requested for more information after the temporary hold, I had told them everything related to the transaction. It's either they didn't bother to read, or they are plain stupid.
But due to the nature of my work, payments have to take place online. Does anyone here know of a good PayPal alternative that can accept payments from PayPal and allow withdrawal of money to a SG bank account? How about MoneyBookers? Anyone has experience with them before?Originally posted by Y_Shun:Thats the grey part of paypal...but always do transactions with people you trust.
Negative balance they will deduct from your bank account linked to the credit card registered with paypal. This kind of unfortunate incident is fairly common when dealing with usa customers. Paypal is biased towards their own country people with regards to "grey" areas. With regards to switching provider, just keep in mind that most people use paypal. If you insist they use something else, you might lose some business.Originally posted by LatecomerX:I'm just wondering what happens next, now that I have a negative balance for the PayPal account that had the reversal. (I always empty that account whenever money is received to another account of mine.) I found a related topic regarding a similar incident, and the victim happened to be another Singaporean as well.

I'm sure PayPal won't file a lawsuit for 20 USD.
But I'm guessing they would reverse the transaction where I sent the money to another PayPal account. Any idea about this?
Thanks for the advice. It's rather unfortunate that PayPal is exploiting their monopoly of the online payment market to do whatever they like to. Anyway, I have two PayPal accounts, and the one with the negative balance is not linked to any bank account. Would freezing both of my PayPal accounts be one of their dartboard choices?Originally posted by Stoat:Negative balance they will deduct from your bank account linked to the credit card registered with paypal. My guess is it will remain a negative balance forever if you don't use it again. Small amount paypal won't take any action.Originally posted by LatecomerX:Thanks for the advice. Nah, it's just a simple script. I'm sure no one would take it if I post it on public.Originally posted by Really mama?:Release your project online or warez places!
By the way, I have provided PayPal with all the shipping invoice and information which they needed from me, all the evidence is there but no, they still side with the scammers. PayPal sucks.Originally posted by DailyFreeGames.com:You just got scammed US$20... I got scammed US$2000 from chargebacks on my business over the last 3 months, my advise, don't use PayPal, they only help the buyers EVEN IF the sellers are the honest guys.
Wow I think you have too much time on your hands.Originally posted by LatecomerX:Nah, it's just a simple script. I'm sure no one would take it if I post it on public.
Anyway, I discovered something amazing while I was bored. If you google "sucks to the core", this thread lands up third (at the point of writing this) out of 700k results.

Not sure, but his Skype profile states that he's from Kaunas, United States. The next person who says that the Chinese are the most cunning people in the world deserves to be robbed and g[b]ay-raped as well.
