Don't know. All along is my parents handle such things for me... but according to them, is not cheap.Originally posted by fudgester:Hmm.... the insurance company doesn't have your records as well?
How much have you been paying in premiums?
Seriously, get the company to check, double check, and triple check. Your parents paid a lot in premiums.... if the company doesn't even have a record of you, then all that money was spent for nothing.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Don't know. They went through the whole procedure alreadyOriginally posted by fudgester:Seriously, get the company to check, double check, and triple check. Your parents paid a lot in premiums.... if the company doesn't even have a record of you, then all that money was spent for nothing.
Imagine the possible ramifications if you got injured or something in the future... and the company refuses to pay out because they don't have a record of you.
If all else fails, you may want to consider the Small Claims Tribunal.
Yes. They file everything. Just got to dig up those files, show them the records and ask them what the heck did they do to me.Originally posted by fudgester:Hmm... is there any proof of the payments being paid out to the company (e.g. official receipts, account statements, etc)? If you still have those, you've got a really strong case against the company.
And seriously, do go to the Small Claims Tribunal if they still can't find your records. This sure isn't a small matter at all.
Okay, that's good.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Yes. They file everything. Just got to dig up those files, show them the records and ask them what the heck did they do to me.
Small Claims can claim that much?Originally posted by fudgester:Okay, that's good.
And seriously, you might want to demand a full refund of your premiums and consider a change of insurance companies. I don't know what kind of insurance company loses the records of its customers.
Agree to this manOriginally posted by fudgester:Okay, that's good.

If I remember correctly.... up to $10,000.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Small Claims can claim that much?
Shouldn't be that much I think.Originally posted by fudgester:If I remember correctly.... up to $10,000.
So as long as your premiums have not hit this limit, you can go through them.
