wow thanks for the tip dude. but NUS mostly use toshibaOriginally posted by fudgester:I've said it many times before, and I'll say it again:
Stay away from Toshiba laptops.
Nah.... I've already checked it out at the Toshiba repair center at NUS. The adaptor didn't work with any device that they plugged into it. And my laptop worked perfectly fine when they plugged in another adaptor.Originally posted by nightzip:Hi fudgie,
you can go to simlim, they will repair for you, cuz your power tib has lost connection, so when you plug in power adapter, it cannot touch. Goto renova or some shop, they can do a one-time laptop maintenance, like apply new thermal grease for your CPU to make it work faster, as grease degrades with time, so gets heats up. Also will blow all the dirt out from the laptop, etc.
how much was the adaptor? you should have asked around for old ones first, maybe pple have some that the lap top is gone, but the adaptor still aroundOriginally posted by fudgester:Nah.... Since my warranty has already ended, I was forced to buy another adaptor. It sucks, but I really, really need my laptop for my academic work. Arrrgh.....
Mine and other friend's IBM on 3rd year. My two frens' laptops on their 4th year. All working perfectly fine with no problems.Originally posted by ^tamago^:laptops are not built to last 3 years.
