I broke my spectacles!

  While I was taking off my specs to wash my face, the frame broke!
  
  
  
  It's not because of a loose screw or anything.... it just broke off.
  
  I'll need to go down to the optician later.

  i had that experience too.. use sticky tape to tape it for now.. then go optician later..

  I had these specs for just under one year.
  
  Luckily I have an old pair of specs which I use when I go chiong sua.
  
  Basket.... these specs lasted me just one year in the civillian world. In contrast, my old pair of specs went through Pasir Laba, Ama Keng, Marsiling, Thailand, and a whole lot of other hostile jungle environments for several years without failing me.

  Nah... I'll just make a new pair later.
  
  I'll salvage the lenses and replace the frame. This means that I may have to choose a slightly smaller frame, but bo pian... at least I'll save money that way.

  Boh pian. My lenses are photochromic - getting a totally new pair would cost me much more.
  
  Anyway, I just got home from the optician. They searched high and low for a frame that would fit my lenses... and fortunately, they found one.

  You might have tried to take yr specs off holding juz one leg therefore causing the other leg to be stressed + even if it's a metal frame, old age will cause it to snap..... Cannot see chio bus oredi!

  my glasses are over 8 years old
