Horrible Sore Throat

Got a terrible sore throat on Tuesday, at first thought nothing of it, but it escalated into high fever late tuesday night
Went to see doctor on Wednesday, who diagnosed me with tonsilitis (basically there are ulcers around my tonsils in my throat and they were swollen)
Gave me some painkillers and the strongest antibiotics pills, said if still not well by Saturday, have to go see her again to get injection
Took two days of MC, but yesterday had to come back and teach 6 hours...now throat became worse I think the swelling went down liaoz, but the ulcers hurting like mad everytime I swallow something, even my own saliva.
Plus no more painkillers, I have finished my last pill yesterday
Looks like tonight have to go get injected liao...worse is tomorrow is my date with my dear and Tuesday is a holiday and I have already told my colleague to book a place for me to go karaoke with them

this sore throat is no joke leh, i cant even swallow liquids properly hor, and can't talk much also
my voice is very important to me as a teacher, and these few days can't even teach properly -

If you notice that your throat is becoming scratchy or sore; here's some advice: gargle with some warm salty water immediately. Better still, buy some antiseptic gargling solutions.
I've managed to ward off the flu on quite a few occasions simply by gargling several times a day whenever I felt my throat was getting scratchy.
Doesn't always work, but it's worth a shot. -

Singapore to get shellfish products from Namibia
SINGAPORE : The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) has accepted Namibia's request to export shellfish products to Singapore, according to Namibian President Hifikepunye Pohamba who was speaking at a state banquet in honour of visiting Singapore President SR Nathan.
Mr Nathan in turn announced that the Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP) is ready to offer customised training courses.
And Namibian officials can look forward to training in hospital management, technical and vocational education.
Since 1993, 145 Namibian officials have been trained under SCP.
President Pohamba is keen to have Singapore's input on Namibia's soon-to-be-established Institute of Public Administration and Management.
Another area Namibia wants to learn from Singapore is port management as it is considered to have the best deepwater port in Western Africa located at Walvis Bay.
Besides products from the fisheries sector, the country's major exports include diamonds and uranium.
Namibia, which has a population of about 2 million people, is blessed with natural resources.
The country emerged from apartheid and oppression in 1990 and since then, it has aimed for stability and development.
President Nathan and the Singapore delegation are in Namibia for the second leg of their African tour.
They arrived from South Africa and will travel to Botswana next. - CNA /ls -
