Do you have 1 year to do the project also? Maybe can ask your seniors or professor/supervisors if they have any good notes, papers, books to read up on... or borrow related thesis from previous FYP students doing the same thing.
But in reality, I only have 14 weeks.
I wonder if anybody has actually done it. -

or you can write to firewall or linux program developers, they might give you tips.

Linux distro not hard to get. Firewall? Built-in liao.
Only problem is where to find these developers.
