Rant about colleagues

There are certain "cliques" or group of people who always hang together in the office...these people always go for lunch together, etc...
to the extent that even if you are there, they will just totally ignore you and continue to only invite those who belong in that particular "clique" to go with them...and if you ask them can join, they just ignore as well
Like just now got one bday celebration going on for one of the members of the "clique" who happened to be one of my students as well, but they called everyone to join in the celebration and just ignored me altogether. Everyone is asked to join, except the teachers.
Think after that they started to feel guilty abt it, then asked if I wanted the leftover. What kinda attitude is this?
When they want me to help with their clients, they will be nice. If not, just ignore.
Just want to rant that's all. I am not in a very good mood today also. -

this kind of things also happen between students. its either you join the in-group or you will become a loner. there is nothing wrong with either one. rather do treasure the people that are around you instead.

These are like so...trivial stuff... -
This is similar to the scene in my department as well....... I finf them pretty stuck up and ya-ya. Dun think I will enjoy being with them in the group so i prefer my own company. They go lunch together, I go lunch alone. Lone Ranger but I earn my own respect and walk tall for being true to myself than to act and be somebody else I am not when I am in that group. And i find that being Lone Ranger is ultra COOL!
