  now i know why apple products no virus, no bugs.
  
  because they simply refuse to acknowledge it and pretends it does not exist!
  
  two bloody times, i've got a replacement with no clue on why the hell it happens, it came back and now it juz got corrupted and i can't restore it!
  
  i googled abit and wow.. i'm not the only one.

  In short, only they know. Since the problem appeared they haven't said a word despite the many thousands of their customers who have been affected. They have simply refused to acknowledge the issue and customer calls to their support department have ranged from fruitless to frustrating. Meanwhile thousands of users the world over can't use their iPods, have lost data, and spent days trying to make their iPods do what they should - play music.

  this problems have happened since ipod first generation and there is still no reliable fix!
  
  what they do? they quietly replace and hope noone else finds out about it!
  
  third replacement le, if i cannot fix it tonight. this is my last ipod, or maybe apple product.

  Connect your dock to the port directly

  cos my port is at the back of the cpu so I need an external cable to extend my port so that I can connect my dock easily without having to reach to the back of my cpu

  yay. i got it working.
  
  i uninstalled itunes and downloaded mediamonkey instead.
  
  working like a charm now.
