Arrgh... why didn't I think of it earlier?

I was doing a Compressible Flow ME3231 tutorial. Think of the module as a zhnged-up version of Fluid Mech, and you'll get a rough idea of what it's like.
I had spent 1 1/2 hours on what seemed like a killer question the previous night before finally giving up in utter frustration.
Then just now, I looked at the question again. After staring at it for a few minutes, the answer became clear to me all of a sudden.
It took all of five minutes for me to work out the answer.
Basket.... I wasted so much time and effort last night for nothing.

Of particular note was my Mechanics of Machines module last semester... I could easily spend one whole hour doing a question as carefully and as meticulously as possible, and still get the wrong.
And I could spend another whole hour painstakingly checking through my methodology and reasoning and still be unable to find the cause of error.
And when I finally gave up and asked a more enlightened friend for help, I would learn that the answer was jaw-droppingly simple.
No one ever gets used to the frustration. -

haha i faced this kind of frustration too in tackling my jc tutorials. spent hours at night thinking abt a problem, then lay on my bed and fell asleep to next morning. leaving the qns after that undone (i dun like to skip qns).
in the morning i suddenly knew how to do the qn...
i guess a good sleep will help your mind to think better. -
