  Yes, it's against Islam to take drugs.
  
  However, plenty of scholars argue that cigarettes do not necessarily fall into the same category. It's a pretty contentious issue - there are those who disagree.
  
  One thing that they all agree upon is that it's frowned upon, but they can't agree on whether it's a sin.

  Now, my election to the post of 4th moderator of the Whinehouse forum came as a surprise to me. In all honesty, I didn't think that I would get this post, considering the fact that I'm older than the target audience of this forum. In addition, while I had posted lots of propganda urging everyone to vote for me, it was all for a laugh, and yeah, it felt great that I did manage to pull it off.
  
  Anyway, back to serious business. I hereby pledge to fill in the empty shoes left behind my gd4u to the best of my abilities. With this appointment I am now a co-moderator of three forums, namely, Whinehouse, Cafe Casual Redux, and Call of the Minaret. It won't be easy moderating all three of them, but I will try.
  
  And now that Whinehouse has fallen to the rule of the Sith, I shall subjugate and trample all those who dare oppose me!
  
  First it was Cafe Casual... now it is Whinehouse. Soon the whole of sgforums shall be within the iron grasp of the Sith! Wahahahah!!!!
