To curse them and let them have a taste of ah beng accusiation...Originally posted by FireAndHell:u r pretty desperate..... Elitist mother cb also u want. U mean to say u can't get any others?
Well if other people safety is important - our friend should be more careful with his bike !!! The way it sound , him crashing his bike - I would say they are in the wrong first , they did not think of other people safety and property !!!Originally posted by Ito_^:ya.. own self's property is more impt den other people's safety!
you probably have the same stupid mentality he got.Originally posted by storywolf:Well you all deserve a scolding !!! It is people driveway, you all go and anyhow ride a bike, lose control and fall on people drive way. Making a fool of yourself , what you expect ?
You want uncle to come out and tell you how good your driving skill is and how nice the noise is. Between your crashing & noise, with a bike hitting the floor like that , of course the owner is concern about the damage, I do not think he find it funny .
i already said it was an accident that he made a mistake. who likes going around banging into others or things and getting injured?Originally posted by storywolf:Well if other people safety is important - our friend should be more careful with his bike !!! So if they don't respect other people safety, do not expect people to do the same to them.
how would he expect that?Originally posted by LazerLordz:If he had just wheeled his bike out to the road before getting on, this wouldn't have happened right?
Common sense lah. And don't paint every action as elitist, it's frankly getting out of hand.
if everything else was the same, no.Originally posted by DriftingGuy:Would you have thought differently if its an uncle who came out from his zinc roof house and check to see if his dirty scooter is damaged?
A driveway faces the other house. Simple physics would tell you if you cannot brake in time, momentum will carry you down the slope of the driveway.Originally posted by alwaysdisturbed:how would he expect that?
if this if that then all the accidents in this world could be prevented, right?
i think this is a separate issue. not to be linked tgr with other inconsiderate kids.. or even our seniors (those 'adults')Originally posted by FireAndHell:I noticed a trend these days, young ppl wants to be treated nice, eventhough they're at fault. Die die also say they're rite, die die also wan to win. No matter if they're causing the ruckus in the first place. Dun believe wat i just said, well, read on in sgforum or any other forum dat ppl post. Recently, about young ppl blasting away their music inside buses n mrt...
he doesn't even live in such houses, probably that doesn't come to his mind as easily as if he was to live in one.Originally posted by LazerLordz:A driveway faces the other house. Simple physics would tell you if you cannot brake in time, momentum will carry you down the slope of the driveway.
Most houses along 6th Avenue do not have flat terrain. Unless you're talking about those at Ming Teck Park that are along the main 6th Avenue road.
the face that you made this useless comment shows why elites criticize people like you. The owner has the right to do such whereas your two friends, should have taken more precaution. What if there was a student standing there?Originally posted by alwaysdisturbed:i was at my friends place near sixth avenue.
we were about to leave and 2 of my friends had their motorcycles parked on the driveway in the house. while discussing where we were gonna go for a bite, one of my friends tried to get his bike out of the house. while doing so, he couldn't balance, lose control over the throttle and sped out eventually falling just before the gate of the opposite unit. the driveway in the house was tiled and slightly sloped downwards towards the exit.
the seemingly master of the house came out and stared at everyone of us when we were helping my friend up. first thing he said, 'i want to check my car. if its damaged, i will call the police.' and apparently his wife came out accusing us of playing around with the bike and had no riding licence.
stupid people.
thats why i posted in the 'whinehouse' and not 'chit chat'.Originally posted by aloof_guy:the face that you made this useless comment shows why elites criticize people like you. Look at your own title before you explain that you try that statement above.Originally posted by alwaysdisturbed:thats why i posted in the 'whinehouse' and not 'chit chat'.
i didn't say they don't have the rights.
everyone says should have taken more precaution here and there which is the most simple and logical comment. but who does it until accidents happen?
you can give a whole lot of other scenarios what if a student was standing there, what if there was an old lady, what if there was a car, what if there was a dog peeing. this is getting senseless.
i was just trying to let out what i feel about their attitudes and thats it.
Originally posted by alwaysdisturbed:It never crossed your mind that their concern is valid? Not just for damages to their property? That your friend might not have a licence? And he might have been drunk?
i didn't say its invalid. can't you see post after post that i think the least they should do is to ask what happened before accusing us of this and that.
They should? Soooo....if I said ' YOU SHOULD HAVE USED YOUR BODY TO BLOCK THE RUNAWAY BIKE' You would?
And in Traffic Rules, your friends might need police attention? Especially since losing control on a motorcycle like that, warrants a fine and demerit points on your friend's licence?
i'm not very sure if its in the traffic rules but i know the common practice here is that if there's an accident with no bodily injuries and no damage to common property, getting the police isn't necessary. if what you said was practiced, then i think many licences will be revoked.
Well, you think arent up there yet isnt it? Considering you claim to hold a drivers licence?! Does your friend still keeps his Riding Theory Book? Please get him to explain to you what is his fine & demerit points on his licence if a police officer was present and witnessed his fall. It can still be revoked, would you like me to advised you how? COnsidering your friend is further putting himself in danger by continuing riding. You could be saving his life.
Frankly, did you actually has any idea what is a elite? The couple AB+ can be classifed as elite. Because they stayed in Avenue 6. And until they called themself as one. Who frankly are you to call they are? You already decided they are elite...then to call them wannabes?? Are you already a Elite to decide they are wannabes???? Did they tell you straight off, that They are Elite? Or did you assume that title for them because of yourself feeling small?
their attitude at that time directs to me to that. there isn't a need to feel small to feel or comment that. and its near sixth avenue. not in sixth avenue nor avenue 6.
It still boils down to. Did you understand what is "ELITE"? Even if its at a East Coast Park & your friend rollarbladed into a BBQ pit owned by that couple grand uncle twice removed. Geeezzzz......some people......
And stupid? Did your friend 1 & 2 knows of this thread? What happens if your friend 1 is really a neighbour of Couple AB+. Does it make your friend a elite and you classifying him as in the same league with the couple you so despised?
they are neighbours in terms of the location of their houses, but definitely not on a good relationship. i classified them as it because of their attitudes and of course their house did play a part. my friend do not have the same attitude as them. so obviously i don't put them in the same league.
Yes it obvious isnt it. You only consider your friends not worthy elite; maybe because he stays at different rows of the houses near 6th avenue.. snickers uncontroablly at Macdonald now
And have it ever occurred to you that your Friend 2 might be laughed off his bike seat for his lousy control of his own motorcycle? Did he want to be made the butt of the joke w/o him wanting to; by his fellow bikers?
he wasn't laughing about it at all but thinking he was damn lucky not to have crashed into their gate.
And whether you are a driver or a motorcyclist. Can you say the road everywhere is straight & level? Your complaints sure excuse your friend, though it does not excuse your ignorance.
i would say most common roads are level. for straight, definitely not.
