erm well as you can see from my forum replies i don't bother about the punctuations, capitals and spellings to much unless i need toOriginally posted by fudgester:I have to agree with that. The only way to improve on your English language is to use it properly as much as you can.
I once tutored a Secondary 1 kid, and his level of English was, to put it bluntly, atrocious. He kept using all sorts of 'geek speak' and SMS shorthands in his writings, forcing me to penalise him very heavily in his grammar and vocabulary.
When I asked him how many SMS messages he would send in an average month, he replied that he would send about 600-800 messages. In other words, that's 600-800 chances for him to write in poor SMS shorthand. It's small wonder that all that shorthand notation got into his writing.
Imagine the incredulous look on his face when I told him to start using proper English - down to correct punctuation - in his MSN and SMS messages.
He resisted doing so - and now he's paying the price with barely-passing grades in English.
Seriously, if you want to improve on your standard of English, a good start would be to use proper English in these forums.

skipped CCA go Tampines Mall.
Physics tutorial, go carpark anyhow drive friend's car(i havent get license yet). -

got one time I was sleeping on 852 from my house on the way to school, then one of the students frm that particular school woke me up and told me that I reached school liao...
He thought I was from there just by looking at the colour of my uniform

and my hse is just 3 bus stops away.
assembly 7.25am. wake up 6.40am.
but currently damn NS, roll call 7.45am, wake up 4.50am. -

Hmm talking about orientation I am an OGL for this year's orientation. I doubt that I will disclose why the students cry until this year's orientation is over perhaps. At first I was also surprised why students could cry during orientation but I finally discovered why after I experienced it. (I didnt cry btw, but I am touched ) -
