but the minimum is still A level mathsOriginally posted by gd4u:Eh, from http://www.nus.edu.sg/oam/apply/prerequisite.htm
Must have A lvl maths n phys, if not have physcis, can take bridging modules ... hmm, so that means u got a slight chance ???
Ok, speaking from experience, I can say the following:Originally posted by gd4u:Eh, from http://www.nus.edu.sg/oam/apply/prerequisite.htm

hmm is it a different case for bioengineering? Which science - Physics or Chemistry, is more important?Originally posted by fudgester:Ok, speaking from experience, I can say the following:
The NUS prerequisites for Mechanical Engineering are misleading. It is definitely not enough to just have an A Level pass for Maths and Physics and/or Chemistry.
In reality, you MUST have a strong foundation in both Physics and Maths. Chemistry is not an important prerequisite, though it would be an advantage to have it as well. In Mechanical (and subsequently, aerospace) engineering, you'll be doing advanced Maths and Physics again and again and again until you puke. Then you wipe up the mess and do it all over again.
I am not trying to discourage polarsnake. Far from it - you can see how I told her that it's not over yet. However, I am being direct with the truth here. No strong foundation in both Maths and Physics leads to one hell of a time in Engineering. Really.
Singapore no rocks for u to studyOriginally posted by polarsnake:Aiyah my other passion is Geography mah, so still ok lah
Lol, there's more than rocks n soil n water to geography ...Originally posted by striderz_o405:Singapore no rocks for u to study
study how many people are needed to sink singapore?Originally posted by gd4u:Lol, there's more than rocks n soil n water to geography ...
Hmmm... that's a good way of decribing the carrying capacity of Singapore.Originally posted by striderz_o405:study how many people are needed to sink singapore?
and to ask the gahmen to stop digging holes. They are not digging for goldOriginally posted by polarsnake:Hmmm... that's a good way of decribing the carrying capacity of Singapore.

geography lao shi~!! *respect* i used to fail my geog all the way in sec 1 and 2...horrigible..Originally posted by polarsnake:Aiyah my other passion is Geography mah, so still ok lah
yr 1 bioengineers take up alot of rojak modules. i have alot of friends in bioeng, and they take modules like computing, physics, material science.. dunno for what? you'll be surprised... eg. chem eng has not much link to chemistry..Originally posted by striderz_o405:hmm is it a different case for bioengineering? but anyway, physics and maths are very impt in ANY engineering course.. u cant escape.. sad case..~
Hmm... not many people in my batch went into biomechanics.Originally posted by papercut87:hey hello senior~!!
not that interested in pursuing aeronatuical eng though (heard of many guys in ME who want to take that up) im actually more keen onto taking up biomechanics. yea!
What to do, Chelzea isn't here already.Originally posted by gd4u:Hmm, nice coverage of the engineering faculty there ...
