Leather shoes

  is it true that once you have worn it you must continue to wear it regularly?
  
  i had a clarks' shoe which i have not worn for more than half a year. and when i put it on and went out it broke into many pieces.
  
  now i have phobia because i have 2 more leather shoes that i have not worn for longer than half a year.

  Yeah shoes will fall into disrepair if not worn regularly, esp the rubber parts / soles. What to do? Just wear them more often lor!

  I had a pair of hush puppies which I left on the shelf for a very very long time, the sole split into half. I have no idea why, guess it just dried up.
  
  Now I am currently wear a pair of doc martens, wah lau the leather take so damn long to season, I'm still experiencing mild blistering on my ankles.

  i used to fancy doc martens. i have switched to clarks.

  I believe when it comes to comfort, clarks is still top notch. But when it comes to durability, it is unquestionably doc martens. Being an aircon technician, I constantly have to climb here and there.

  Yup, I can understand how you feel coz I've had an experience a bit similar to yours whenit comes to Clarks shoes..... Mine was with the whole piece of sole detaching from the body. Felt bloody cheated as Clarks was supposed to be a good brand and not some kuching kurat kind.......... Nowadays when I see Clarks shoes, I run far far !
  
  I've never had any problems with leather shoes of any other brand.

  I've never had any problems with leather shoes of any other brand.

  it really broke into a few pieces. i felt like a production crew with the pieces waiting to get them hand-sewn.
  
  it was so embarassing. luckily i was at the car park walking towards the bus stop. i threw the shoe into the dustbin and walked home with only my socks on. i changed into another clarks shoe and went out again.
  
  knn, an experience i will never forget.
  
  but what i dont understand is why one broke into pieces and the other didnt.
