OUTING HAS ENDED, THANKS TO THOSE WHO CAME, CONTINUE HEREChangi Village isn't a popular tourist attraction in Singapore, but it's good for locals bored with city life and want to getaway to some seabreeze and quietness.
With hardly any residential buildings around, save for some bungalow houses perhaps, Changi Village serves mainly 1) leisure/pleasure seekers, 2) people working in the airport nearby and 3) national service personnel from the
Selarang camps nearby.
The erstwhile untouched enclave is set for a spate of developments like a boardwalk along the coast that will link the Changi Beach to East Coast Park. The recent surge in interest in visiting Chek Jawa, the newly-discovered eco haven at Pulau Ubin has also led to the building of a new Ferry Terminal at Changi Village. Travellers can also look forward to the soon-to-be-completed refurbished Le Meridien Changi Hotel. All in all, Changi Village is
well-poised to become livelier and better.
In the meantime, this is what you'll get at Changi Village.....
