How to reach? Pillar at NTUC blocks trays of vegetables

STOMPer Derek noticed this pillar blocking several trays of vegetables at an NTUC in Tampines Mall, and thinks that this layout is inconsiderate.
He wrote:
"What a inconsiderate design.
"I was at Tampines Mall NTUC today, and what caught my attention the most was the idea of putting vegetables behind a pillar which looks so disturbing..
"Don't they know that it's difficult to reach those vegetables!
"It won't be a problem for youngsters, but what about old people?
"What type of design have they come up with, causing customers such inconvenience..." -
