SINGAPORE: NTUC FairPrice is extending its housebrand discount scheme for another two months till 31 July to help customers cope with rising costs of living.
The discount scheme was to end on Tuesday.
As part of the
housebrand discount scheme, customers who hold the Plus!Visa or NTUC
Plus! card enjoy a 10 per cent discount on over 500 FairPrice housebrand
essential items such as rice and bread.
Non-card holders enjoy a 5 per cent discount.
The
supermarket chain said customers who bought FairPrice housebrand items
have saved over S$2.25 million since the launch of the programme in
February.
With the extension, the customers can expect to save over S$3.6 million in total.
FairPrice
will also freeze prices of all its housebrand items, which are on
average priced 10 to 15 per cent cheaper than comparable national
brands.
