  SCDF: Supermart warned against obstructing emergency exits with goods SCDF says Cold Storage Parkway Parade has been instructed to refrain from blocking its emergency exits  with goods, so as not to hinder escape in times of emergency. This came after STOMPer Clancy saw the emergency door at the supermart obstructed by many sales items and wonders if it might pose a danger in the event of an emergency. SCDF says the emergency exit at Cold Storage Parkway Parade was not blocked with goods when its officers conducted an investigation on the premises, but the supermart was warned against doing so. It says obstruction to exit doors could hinder the escape in times of emergency. This is the email from SCDF in full: "Obstruction to exit doors could hinder the escape in times of emergency. "Our officers conducted an investigation upon receiving the feedback. However, we did not observe any obstruction during the time of inspection. "Nonetheless, we had warned the operator against obstructing any exits designated for escape. "We would like to thank the public for alerting us."
