Different brands of rice

  I wonder why there's so many different brands of rice using similar looking logo, e.g. the phoenix one - there is a Golden phoenix and there is Jin1 Hwang2 which also used the yellow phoenix picture. Are they the same rice?
  
  Even the Golden Eagle brand has a yellow eagle pic that looks like a phoenix.
  
  Recently, I found some "newly harvested rice" in Cold storage and in Prime. What are they good for?

  My mum say for nice porridge, best to use newly havested rice....for more gooey texture.

  My haus sometimes got 2 kinds of rice.. thai rice n jap rice..

  The Golden Phoenix rice (AAA grade) is also very fragrant when cooked as rice, and it's very clean, just rinse once is good enough....cheaper than the Royal Umbrella, I think.

  For those who likes to eat porridge, do look out for "newly harvested rice" currently available at the supermarkets - I've seen them in Cold Storage and Prime.
  
  This rice makes really yummy porridge and is not available throughout the year.
