  Guess what I have found out?
  
  NTUC and other supermarkets sell only the Energizer "Max" that is 2x the price of the normal yellow card "Alkaline"..
  
  Hence, Eveready is classified as for "normal" usage, replacing the Alkaline series. So that's where the supermarkets take advantage and mark up higher
  
  Why on earth are they selling the "Max" series when ppl just use the normal ones?
  
  Gonna make feedback to them, and ask them abt selling the 1 card of 4 batteries

  If you really dig deep, you will find that most stuffs are marked up pretty high, not just for NTUC.
