  This will be useful information for those of you who has already bought a property in Johor Baru or in Malaysia. Just a reminder that if you have concluded your purchase agreement on a property that has completed its construction or if you have bought a resale property in Malaysia, make sure you open the electric utility account with TNB within 6 months. Above that period, you will need to engage your own electrician contractor to do a retest on all the electrical wiring of your property and certified it as safe for usage. The electrician contractor will then need to submit a certification form, document and photographs to TNB to confirm and certified that all the electrical wiring of your property are in good condition and safe for usage.   Those Singaporeans who are married to foreigners, they can buy the oversea property under their foreign spouse's name with better discount and sales plus easy loan availability. However, there are risk factors involve here especially should they have marriage problems and getting divorce. Their foreign spouse will get the property....though quietly you are the main purchaser.
