Why not? It may be a better income opportunity for the people / investors of singapore to invest overseas. It would also help the singapore economy when the investors would get back their returns in terms of monthly rental income or some thing else. It would case the foreign curreny to enter the boundries of the country.

Why not?
Since Singapore has imposed so many taxes on people who want to buy their 2nd and subsequent properties, so they go overseas to places which welcome them to buy properties loh!
and mind you, they spent more than $2 Billions on overseas properties!

The problems are :
1) That country's bank you want to invest in properties will give you loan to buy the properties or not, if you choose Singapore bank than you might need to top up the difference currency exchange if Sing dollar value dropped.
2) Any restriction if you want to resell your properties when time is right, their countries' capital or stamp duties etc.
3) Location can ensure growth or not, e.g if disaster like market crash or riot happen how?

They have their own problems to take care. So start planning now before you or your generation become refugees.

Aiyo, you think that is scary? Do you know that in 2029, there will be an asteroid name Apophis and it will pass by Earth with just a distance of 30000km which might just 'hit' the satellites surrounding the earth. However depend on the factor like the asteroid's orbit route and the gravity force etc, there is 1 to 250000 chance that it 'might' hit earth around 2036. Right now there is an group called NEOShield hope that unless they can find a solution solve this problem, there is no where safe on earth. That is if you are interested to know this fact.

Besides tge property specifics, you must not forget you run a currency risk. That can go two ways of course, for or against you. But it can be substantial.

In other words, I presumed as stated since Combodia's economy are pick up, majority of Combodian citizens must be getting higher income maybe around US$3000-US$6000 and a lot of industrial & comerical companies are investing on Cambodia and their government must be very stable for the property's future growth! Anyway thanks for sharing!
