I always pay in full without fail, dun want to incur the late and financial charges of 24% per annum. my cardspend is less than 300, so I dun have any credit card debt.
$0
i use dc
i always pay in full before the last day.
Worst time for me was paying on the last day, borrowed $100 from my friend before i return the $100 to him a week later.
Credit card bills - $250 - $350 a month.
I always pay on the 2nd day after I get the statement, and I round up my payment, so they owe me instead.
Last time I had Cc debts over a few thousand....now i given up using Cc. Better dun use borrowed $. Debit cards are better. Can keep track and better control of expenditures....
Usually spend about $300 per month on credit card.
Dec spent about $3k. All pay in full. Usually pay before the bill come because I can see the bill via internet banking
Just cut up 4 of my credit cards. Debit is best :)
Credit is best if your cashflow does not come in at a fixed time each month, but over the whole month.
Example, I bought my new desktop at the start of the month via credit card. But my dividends from Starhub and SPH comes in only on 8th Dec and 23rd Dec, sufficient to pay for the desktop. I will then proceed to pay the bill in Jan when it comes.
In a way, used properly, credit card regulates your cashflow better. What's more with free reporting on what you have spent on that particular month!
It's bad when you do not practice discipline and let the debts go out of hand.
So far so good for me.

I cut and throw away my Cc....I dun use them anymore....the interests are bizzare!
If you cannot control your own expenditures and track it well, you better not own a credit card and enjoy the discounts that come together with most of it.
Example, Standard Chartered card had a promotion a month plus ago, where they give u $100 for each card you signed up. Max was 4 cards, so I got $400 to spend. Maybank did it two years ago. And I heard HSBC cards give free movie tickets each month subjected to a limit. It's easy to clear the money by paying for phone bills much earlier.
Even more recently, if you spend $1.2k on a DBS credit card on a weekend, you get to exchange a free camcorder. It's easy to spend that amount on necesscities or home upgrading.
Then again, as I have said, if you cannot maintain basic discipline on expenditure control, don't sign up for a credit card as the interests will kill you.
that's why all credit card depts in all banks have specialists to chase debts. It's just a universal law, where there're credit cards, there must be debts lol.
Perhaps the only good thing about Cc are overdrafts....quick and fastest loans for people that are in need of fast cash ! Interests are horrible though....

Ok. My dividends this month from SPH and Starhub alone totalled $1.7k
No debs atm... not using any card.
But one of the local CC that I havent been using, guess what. They upped my limit to 65k. From 27k. But I not complaining actually. lol
Are they like desperate for me to use or what? Cause I havent been using it for like... mmmm... more then 9 months.
Which makes me wonder, can the banks say, if Visa, check my other card usage ? Cause I been using HSBC card alot and found it more convenient.
$0.
Paid in full.
There were two months that I did not charge a single cent to my card, and I received a service charge for the previous month.
Called them and screwed them upside down.
What the bank said? - Computer error.
This kind of charges better check properly.
Now a days I prefer to use my prepaid credit card (Got from YOG) for online purchases. Top it up via Axs/Atm. I don't trust even myself that my connection is secure for usage. If there's fraud, let them take what's in it, just a few cents.
For normal day to day activities, I use the normal cards.
Oh and another thing.. Visa Debit.. does not really function like a Visa card. You actually get denied. I mean they say they cant deduct and pay back in. O.K, how about deduct and give me back my balance later on ? lol But noooo.. they somehow cant do that. Whats up with that ? Especially hotels in MY. Suck nuts.
