dun let your success goes to your head, boy. dun let success change you into a proud and heartless person, understand boy?
no need to feel envious of someone who's rich or feel depressed if you're not..........
remember this............the main objective of most people is to be happy............and being content is one of the key reasons...............money is only a means to an end..........
so if a guy is happy even when not rich VS unhappy billionaire............. then the poor guy has won the race !
no matter how rich you are...........you still only sleep in one half of the bed.............when you stand you don't cast a bigger shadow.................and you can't eat more than 1 person.............
### if you're rich this life time..........no need to be happy becoz you've used up some of your good karma...............if your poor............no need to be sad becoz you've used up some of your bad karma.........
I realised that for 2010, my monthly expenses are already between $1.5k to $2k a month -.-"
No point spending too little. Earn money must enjoy a bit.
This month alone, I spent $2k on a new desktop, and ~$500 for a Wii as christmas gift for my gf. :X
Congratz to TS. Not everyone is able to acheive unless they have clear objective. I am also looking for for some goals in acheving to increase my assets. Given with my age, the $$ that I have is really too low, so I have to do something.
Anyway someone has mention before, as long as you are happy, it does not matter how much u earn. $$ is important, as long as they are not affecting ur health. Cheers!

I have been working in the hospital and I have seen people who are died at birth to old age. People die at the age of 22 years old too. Enjoy your life and dont get obsessed with money.
My friend is an instant vice-CEO of a construction company in Singapore after he graduated from NTU. How to compare?
Just enjoy your life, when you can. You never know when you are going to die in the first place.
Life working in hospital must be pretty hard isnt it?
Seeing all the dead pple very minute of the day.

That's pure speculation. Do you think that Groupon is led by idiots?

It is not speculation.
It is a done deal and it is reported in the Straits Times.
The elder brother will remain to lead the firm in Asia while the younger brother will
go back to complete his degree, albeit with lots of money to spend unlike an
ordinary undergraduate.

Doesn't matter, unless you are the person or it somehows affect you or your life.
Well, maybe you are one of the brothers right?

My point in bringing out the example of the Beeconomics Brothers is to show that
one can become rich, not by saves and saves and don't spend or simply try to time
the market and hope to make lots of money from the stock market to which TS has
tried to do, but by going into businesses with a vision and commitment.
TS, being a law undergraduate, should focus on his studies and he will be able
to earn lots of money in future when he becomes a successful lawyer.
Yup, good point.
I was trying to bring a slightly different point, but still similar in intention, when I mentioned my earlier expenditures :)

Saying that the Beeconomic brothers made $24 million in 6 months, via "vision and commitment" no less, is like saying that lottery winners make $1 million in 1 day.
Hi RM,
I guess the point was that there's no point being a millionaire scrooge
You can enjoy while still being able to save!

I don't have a fixed salary. My circumstances are slightly different. You can be damn sure that I'll be less uptight about money once I make more with regularity.
What can one do with $100,000 these days?
COE costs around $60,000.
3 room HDB flat costs around $300,000.
Damn, even a holiday to learn french cooking in Paris costs $45,000 for the whole family.
