Doesn't really matter unless you changing large sums.
If changing $1,000, a difference of 1/2 cent will only be $5, think it cost more to take transport there.

Agreed.Make not much a difference if you only change a few hundred dollars only for your overseas trip/holiday.

it's kind of unsettling to read all these news about slashings and gang fights, murders etc when one is overseas. Wonder if it's really safe to walk carefree around town now. How teens have changed over the years, it used to be fist fights and that's it. Now the trend is 10 attack 1 with parang. Wth?

if the sum is big, u may want to consider to TT the money over to a Singapore bank account for safety, convenience and possibly legal reasons.
