That's weird.
I only know Standard Chartered in Sg.
Even if it is $11k interest for $100k, it's very tough to believe. I don't think yours is a FD leh. Better check again for safety.

Foreign currency deposits are the best investments with S$10k. You may buy S$5k each for AUD and NZD.

one other way is to invest in mid-cap (50-60cent) stocks. those that are strong fundamentally and profit from it. moderate to high risk involved.
