What are the options that are open for teenagers, with just say $2000 available to invest? Will be happy to receive starters and opinions from the folks out there:)
Strategical soccer betting? LOL. i actually gt one strategy that has alrdi worked for me lmao.. =x
but that was the joking part, anw, for teenagers, it hard to make investments until u reach the age of 18, coz, many of the companies out there that do investment programmes usually require some documentations, which are rather complicated too. wait till you are 18, but maybe you can start reading on stocks, currency, and study the charts.. will be useful in the future, for ur future investments..
can't get into stocks with 2000,
you'll lose it quickly in forex,
try silver.............only way is up...........price coming down now..............wait for price to go lower then buy and hold.............then repeat.............

yes, same sentiments too, but if there is a forex trading expert giving you tips?? i created a $50USD acc on forex, been profiting recently, coz my mentor quite zhun. lols.
hmm, anw, if you had lost ur money in forex, its probably due to some reasons such as not studying the trends of the currency fluctuation and not using money management well. anw, cheers, wish you luck on silver.
$2,000 can buy lots of options.
But of course, if it expires below the exercise price, you lose everything.

Nothing. Just put in fixed D or money market funds.
Save near to 10 to 20 times that amount then think again. Brokerage fees will kill you. When you do not have the capability to earn or generate cash fast enough, you will be taken on an emotional roller coaster ride when your investment goes up and down. And that's unhealthy.
Unless you have decided to take on a job as a full time trader, if not, that $2k won't bring you anywhere.
save up and dun use the money. thats the safest option with minimal risks.
i remember there's this website called sharebuilder.com whereby you can even buy US stocks 1 share at a time................slowly build up lor............
RHB Bank Fixed Deposit

Hmm, not exactly.. as for the newspaper, i dun think so..
n there is a signal service thou, hmm, its nt exactly free, but he would not take any money from you. to excess to his signals, you just nid to sign under him.. thats all.. so, you wont be taking out any money from your pocket.. except the initial deposit at the broker of min $50USD? o.o.

you mean you can even buy a single share ?
imagine buying a single share of a $0.20 stock..................those guys from Philips will laugh their heads off............then i tell them i plan to average down mah..................1 > 10 > 100 > 1000..............LOL

Sharebuilders plan is not for buying single shares
But yes, you can buy unit shares with Philips.
I really wonder if you know anything -.-"
So far all the questions you asked have been really basic.
told you i don't do stocks mah................i only know you need to buy shares in lots of 1000 shares , that's all........
Appears that for now, keeping a savings account with a meagre interest per annum seems the most feasible?
Just want to know, how do we start going about doing investment? who do we approach without becoming laughing stock? whats the first step that are open to us?

If I'm doing it, so can you!
Started with $3k... Now my portfolio is about 56k.
Making a lot of money on forex, but u have got to have a keen eye for detail and market watch, and sit infront of ur com for hours at end.
Just made a lot of cash on the following currency pairs...
USD/JPY
EUR/USD
GBP/USD
USD/CHF
EUR/CHF
AUD/USD
but how liquid is it?
FOREX is the biggest market in the world...
Last I heard it had like billions, trillions of $$ of equity and liquidity in it.
Coz it is like a global market.
U dun have to worry like stocks, that you need someone to buy them if not etc etc...
And also you don't need to go thru a remiser to do ur trade.
With online platforms like FX365 you can do it from ur home office.

FOREX is pretty idiot-proof.
You buy when cheap and sell when high.
Reverse holds true. Sell high buy low.
But then that is where the keen eye for detail comes in.
Must be bery sharp and notice market trends.
Also take into consideration recent financial news from America and Europe.
Unemployment index divulged at around 8 or 9p.m local time SG from America might usually trigger heavy market action.
