HDB selling 3rm flat at $299300 in Holland Drive

Just a tiny little 3rm flat at 67sqm, and HDB is selling it at $299300 (on 37th floor to be fair), HDB is pricing it at $299300.
And earlier KOPITIAM won the tender to run the SENGKANG MARKET at $500000/month, with only 100 stalls (10 sundry, 40 wet, 50 cooked food store), for KOPITIAM to recover the rental, they probably have to collect $5000 from each stall each month.
Do you see these as progress, that people are able to afford to those skyrocket rentals and houses?

Can choose 20-30 years repayment period, but not sure if lifespan will be long enough to pay up.
But then, they can always argue, "you don't have to live Holland Drive, can live in Pasir Ris or some other ulu ulu HDB".

Isnt that fairly cheap for a 3 room flat? Maybe my internship in 2011 which im planning to do in SG will be much cheaper then i thought :D.

HDB price i believe is pegged to like 90% of the market price in the area? Not too sure of the percentage
Imagine if is a normal price, than some guy brought it THAN sell it at 300k, super big wind fall out of nowhere!
As for the sengkang market thingie, can only say the bidder don't know doing what, bid so high....

For simplicty sake excluding 10% upfront payment, interest etc, assuming you pay 10K per annum, you will need 30 years to pay off the 300K loan.
All for that small 3 room HDB flat which is on a 99 year lease.
