Will property counter crash after IR annoucement?

  The Marina IR factor has been creating so much buzz for the property sector in Singapore and since then stock price of Capitaland, CDL and Kepland has also reach its peak.
  
  My concern here is that once the marina IR result is announced (either this week or next) share price of the property counter will fall and that might trigger a temp panic selling. I hope the announcement will be made after friday trading session.

  ohh....
  
  not too sure of the specifics of which companies were involved in trying to bid for the project.........but...usually........if the bid participants had share price increase in anticipation of an event, after the event of an anouncement, the loser ones which did not materialize will see a drop in their share price. But whether this will bring down the sectoral index (property index) will depend on the weight of the losers and winners as a whole and their aftermath share price movement.

  My view is that, once the IR is annouced, the focus will be, can this company deliver the goods. Since IR will not take off 2 years from now, as an investor, I would rather put my money into something that can generate immedate returns.
  
  The other thing is that IR is new to Singapore, despite all the hype, there is still a risk that Singapore IR might not take off. casino is basically all about gambling and it is highly regulated business in singapore. If the return does not match the risk, I would rather put my money in bluechip with good dividend.

  But how to know which one will win and which one will not win?
  
  If any shorting is done after the announcement, not prior, how to know when is too late to jump in and where to stop? You have to be quicker than the others.
