  I just received this circular from them. Its a notice for the EGM which will be held on the 8th of september. My concern for the company is what are they going to do once they sell of their core business?

  Yah. Thats what they are planning to do. Anyway nobody can stop this as Capitaland has voted in favour of this proposal.

  So the Raffles now comes under Capitaland? Might as well wind up Raffles Holdings.
  
  Does this also mean the prestigious Swissotel brand now belongs to the merged entity of DBS Land and Pidemco?

  Raffles Holdings Limited (RHL) to divest Hotel Business for an enterprise value of S$1.72
  billion, a 64% premium to NTA, to Colony HR Acquisitions LLC.
  Raffles holding Announcement
  
  RHL sold all (including raffles hotel) except a 45% direct equity interest in Tincel Properties which owns the Raffles City Complex.
  
  go listen to the EGM loh.. Jennie Chua will probably announce what she intend to do with the cash after the sale, and the direction for RHL.
  
  RHL rose quite a bit recently, probably in anticipation of the huge dividend payout.

  Yah...I have this bad feeling that after the dividend payout, the value of my RHL might go down. The proposed dividend payout is 40 cents a share.
  
  Im wondering If I should Buy more just to get the dividend. Regret not buying at $1...

  Raffles has ALWAYS been under Capitaland's control. Capitaland was the company that started Raffles Holding.
  
  Looks like Capitaland's share are set to rocket....
