Temasek raises $580m from sale of CapitaLand shares
The sale of 200 million ordinary shares at $2.90 apiece cut Temasek's holdings in CapitaLand to 44.5 per cent from 52 per cent, Temasek said in a statement.
Last week, Temasek also announced it had reduced its shareholdings in Singapore's leading transport operator SMRT Corp Ltd from 62.1 to 54.8 per cent, raising $122 million from the placement.
... and??Originally posted by shade343:As of today, Temasek's stake in Capitaland is 45%...so they are no longer substantial shareholders. Hmm...Hope somebody secretly acquires 30% of the company....
If somebody acquires 30%, persuant to SGX listing rule, the said person or instituition must make an unconditional offer to the rest of the shareholders to buy their shares at a suitable price. Hopefuully, this would spark a buying frenzy and Capitaland can hit $4.Originally posted by k4korny:... and??
