Temasek sells 7.5% stake in CapitaLand

Singapore investment company Temasek Holdings, which has about $90 billion in assets, placed out shares in property group CapitaLand yesterday at $2.90 to $2.95 each, investment banking sources told Dow Jones.
Temasek issued a statement yesterday saying it had sold a 7.5-per-cent stake, or slightly over 200 million shares, in CapitaLand, without disclosing the price. A Temasek spokesperson said the final sale price would not be announced until the placement is completed.
WTF....I wonder what they are going to sell away next...I think I better dump away my NOL...
How come Temasek keeps on selling away the shares which I buy...wth...first is SMRT, now this.... Next is most likely NOL or SIA... -
temasek has plans to offload their holdings of capitalland and singtel to finance their overseas purchases.
they sold capitalland recently to buy cosco. -
Now their actions has cause Singtel to fall becos people think they are selling Singtel next...
But I think NOL or SIA will be next...
Temasek still needs money to buy Bank Of China... -

Temasek raises $580m from sale of CapitaLand shares
The sale of 200 million ordinary shares at $2.90 apiece cut Temasek's holdings in CapitaLand to 44.5 per cent from 52 per cent, Temasek said in a statement.
Last week, Temasek also announced it had reduced its shareholdings in Singapore's leading transport operator SMRT Corp Ltd from 62.1 to 54.8 per cent, raising $122 million from the placement. -
I seriously pity the instituition that bought from Temasek. Capitaland is currently trading at $2.82 and SMRT is trading at $1.07

In fact, even Singtel and Stats Chippac are affected mah.. both have dropped quite a fair bit leh.

As of today, Temasek's stake in Capitaland is 45%...so they are no longer substantial shareholders. Hmm...Hope somebody secretly acquires 30% of the company....
