Thats what I call investingOriginally posted by leddy:If there's anything history has taught me, dont predict the market! Look around for stocks of companies with the right fundamentals, keep track of them and enter to buy when the price is right, such during a market correction or irrational selling that depreciates prices. That's when you can get good stocks at a bargain.

Another lesson (which actually is a variation of this advice) is that: in uncertain times, it's better to hold cash. so that when there's a correction, (1)you won't be wiped out. (2) you can pick out the cheap bargain w/o hurting your portfolio.Originally posted by leddy:If there's anything history has taught me, dont predict the market! interesting! I think it's another way of talking about the contrarian theory. hmm.. think not even contrarian.
meaning you have to buy when both contrarian and the general public dunno whether it's the right time to buy/ sell?? cheem.
most bull and bears starts when ppl least expect them to. so if you happen to be in the market at this wrong time... you'll ride on the highest point of the wave. rite?
