It is not feasible to merge 256 into 192 completely as the Jln Ahmad Ibrahim sector in which 256 is plying now will lose a link to Joo Koon Int/MRT.

Well, SMRT may launch its own virtual reality service (VR) on 18 June 2017 at Tuas Link MRT Station, which is "SMRT VR", similar to the "Project Morpheus" (PlayStation VR).

Jurong East, Chinese Garden, Lakeside, Boon Lay.
Long ago, Boon Lay was the last station on the East West Line.
Then, everything changed when the Boon Lay MRT extension opened.
Only an extension, the addition of new stations, could further improve transport connections, but when we all wanted it most, it was just announced.
A couple of years passed, and my Brother and I discovered a new extension, four new stations called "Tuas West Extension", and although the stations features are great, there's still a lot to adjust before it's ready to operate fully.
But I believe, Tuas West Extension can relieve traffic congestions.
Previously, on Tuas West Extension...

No.
Before the opening of Tuas Link MRT Station on 18 June, posters are put up at the MRT station to tell them that the boarding activities are disallowed at Joo Koon westbound platform (just that ppl don't know as they are shopping at Decathlon or FairPrice Hub). This is to show that, there will be trains travelling to Tuas Link but it will not be stopping for passengers. Everyone knows that Tuas Link section will only be opened on 18 June, new MRT trains will be Tuas Link - Jurong East and Jurong East - Marina South Pier. They will extend in two more phases for EWL, starting with the last hour of passenger service and then extending it to Sundays.
I doubt East West Line had started with the last hour of passenger service and with a minimal demand section.

nobody will know until 18 June.
16 June I bet you, you can take 193 and change to free MRT.
Q: Will the new CBTC signalling system be testing on the entire of EWL in tandem with the Tuas West Extension? If so, hope it doesn't be a cock up like NSL's case currently...
Open house may have new one, because trains only run between Tuas Link and Gul Circle. But not when the thing opens, because not all parts of the East West Line have new signaling yet. So, most likely, the new trains will collect dust first, before it can run on the entire East West Line next year.
In fact, tomorrow may see trains running on the previous schedule between Joo Koon and Pasir Ris. Trains won't have to change signal at Pioneer, so operations would be smooth, at least for one day. Yay.
You know, ever since the new signaling started last week, the whole thing went haywired. Trains have to wait very long then come. The journey from Boon Lay to Pioneer, and Lakeside to Boon Lay can sometimes jam very long. Furthermore, trains have to stuck at Pioneer MRT station with doors closed for 10-20 seconds. It was terrible. I'm so glad that tomorrow they will resume business as usual, although for one day.
