stomp has breached professional ethics all the way
not just this incident
huh? they have staff writing and posting stories? this is citizen jounalism?
they run out of 红兵?
Since when did STOMP have professional ethics?
So STOMP has their own content producers, so how much content there is actually in-staff produced?
In addition to the content producer being sacked, shouldn't the editor who allowed it to go online be sharing the blame? Shouldn't everyone down that line of command be taking a reprimanding?
"content producer" is such an innovative title
shut down the whole damn thing lah

Something was already farked, when SMRT reported they could not find details of Ms Samantha Francis travel to lakeside on the day of the train door thing. So now we know SMRT wasn't lying.
You don't mess with the train otakus.

If the ah lian has sliding doors and reserved seating, maybe.
Just maybe.

Why was the doors open on that side? Was the train at the depot?

It could have been at the end station, like pasir ris, and put in maintenance mode.
Prolly some employee took and put the pic online, which got the attention of Ms Francis, who cooked up a story about being at lakeside.

Like I said, STOMP editor should now go all the way. He should apologize for all slanderous posts made by STOMPers, take down those posts, and pledge to swiftly remove all such future postings.
I have no problems with posts about monkeys at Bukit Timah, or migratory birds at Sungei Buloh, or waterspouts off East Coast Park.
But all those posts about 'this fella didn't give up his seat in the MRT' or 'this girl is so stupid' are just downright libellious. If this had been in the States, we would see a whole bunch of defamation lawsuits.
What happened to good ol' values of, you know, not backstabbing someone you don't even know in the public domain?
Here is a clearer picture of Ms Francis. Can't get clearer than this.

Something the girl apparently wrote a few months ago:
10 WAYS TO BECOME A PUBLIC NUISANCE
Guess she has discovered #11.
I mean, seriously, what she did amounted to fear-mongering and is no different from shouting 'FIRE!' in a crowded cinema. I myself freaked out when the STOMP article first came out - I mean, what if the doors open when a crowded train is moving at high speed?
If this was in the States, she would be looking at a lawsuit from SMRT. Seriously.
So LTK was right about our mainstream media after all.

'Content producer'.....
Some of the articles are certainly from people working at STOMP.

if its true this is not an isolated incident at stomp then they should close the site down.
At the very least, their credibility is now at an all-time low.
Not that they had a lot to begin with anyway.
