STOMPer wasabi was on her way home when one of the train doors remained stuck open even as the train moved off from Lakeside station.
Said the STOMPer:
"I was on my way home from Boon Lay MRT to City Hall MRT last night.
"At
Lakeside station at 10.15pm, one of the doors started making noises
during 'Doors Closing' and remained stuck open even while the train
started moving.
"Thank goodness the train was relatively empty,
if not it would have been dangerous for people standing near that door
in a crowded train!
"The doors eventually closed at the next station."
A spokesperson from SMRT wrote:
"SMRT
views this incident seriously. We have contacted STOMP for more details
so that we can verify the authenticity of the photograph, and
investigate the matter thoroughly.
"For such incidents,
passengers aboard the train can activate the emergency communications
button located on the side of train doors, to inform our train officer.
Passengers can also provide details to our station staff at the
passenger service centre.
"We wish to reassure commuters that the
North-South-East-West Line is built with many fail-safe features to
ensure passenger safety. For example, there is a safety system that
ensures trains will not be able to move off, if train doors are not
properly closed."

You should know the answer...

"We wish to reassure commuters that the North-South-East-West Line is built with many fail-safe features to ensure passenger safety. For example, there is a safety system that ensures trains will not be able to move off, if train doors are not properly closed."
from wat they wrote. they r saying tat the stomper is a LIAR
STOMPER is a liar.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
do those doors look like they're open to a platform?
Not I want to say, but that stomp picture was taken thru glass window on the other side.
Stomper should ask, are they for pushing aunties out?
i think some chinese newspapers put as front page then how?
ST says SMRT checked her ezy link card trip details and cctv and said she was not at that station on the said day
but she is standing by her account of the incident ("She told The Straits Times that after the train pulled into the station, the doors on the opposite side to the platform swung open first. Finding this strange, she took a picture through the closed doors in front of her. Then, when the doors in front of her opened, she entered the train and took another picture of the opposite doors, one of which remained open until the train pulled into Chinese Garden, the next stop.
She added that two other people were in the same carriage as her: a Chinese man in T-shirt and bermudas, and an Indian man.
Yesterday, Ms Francis met SMRT staff at Lakeside MRT to assist in their investigations. She showed them where she was standing when she snapped the picture, and described what she was wearing that night to help them spot her in CCTV footage.")
See the trouble you get into for STOMPING?
While STOMP is good for keh po stories, this incident has just exposed certain flaws of this social media. Anyone can submit a story and STOMP will not verify as long as it appears "credible". This time they can't get away because it has become a national issue regarding our daily transport.
"....our staff breached professional ethics..." wah lau what professional ethics lol. There's none to speak of the way STOMP is run.

Headlines: STOMP stomps on STOMPER hehehehe. Maybe she can officially join the ST propaganda and fabrication division now.
Then what about all the other posts on STOMP which are technically slanderous?
You know, all those posts that go 'This fella didn't give up his seat for an old man' etc etc....
STOMP editor should take down those posts as well and apologize for leaving them there.
If I ever appear on STOMP for that reason, you can be sure that I'll be suing the pants off the STOMPer.
Anyway, the girl who posted on STOMP is really dumb.
If she had really found it on Twitter, she could have simply posted: 'Found this photo on Twitter. Seems as though the door is open in the middle of the track. I don't know..... what do you guys think?'
There. No one would have faulted her for posting that.
Come up with a bullsh*t story for fcuk?
Liar liar pants on fire.

the girl who posted on STOMP, is actually a staff working for Singapore Press Holding...
So she took a shyt in her workplace...
So now we all know STOMP kinda works that way one. Which stories to believe now?
By the way, that post of hers made it to last week's main papers, so hence you see how serious it had become to SPH, only to find out that its "fabricated".
If SPH hadn't apologised, SMRT could actually file a suit against them for b*llsh*t that caused commuters to question SMRT's train safety (loss of reputation).
But we all know GLCs don't work like that.
