As stated by the Minister of Tpt, there's going to be scheduled weekend disruption to MRT svs in stretches to speed up replacement works vs doing it at night for 3.5 hrs daily.
Thing is, such replacement works has to be planned out to id out the possible stretches of disruption, where the train can turnaround, pick up pts, bus layover pt etc...
Will list out possible track closure sequences later on.
Possible sequences
EWL
1) Pasir Ris - Tanah Merah
2) Tanah Merah - Aljunied
3) Aljunied - Outram Park
4) Outram Park - Queenstown
5) Queenstown - Jurong East
6) Jurong East - Boon Lay.
NSL
1) Jurong East - Bt Gombak
2) Bt Gombak - Kranji
3) Kranji - Woodlands
4) Woodlands - Yishun
5) Yishun - AMK
6) AMK - Toa Payoh
7) Toa Payoh - Marina Bay
7 is pretty jialat...

Look at JEMP!! SBS and SMRT now need bendy and Citaro Gs more than ever!!!!!!
or else every weekend crowd and chaos will totally destroy Singapore reputation for public transport!!!

Can you STFU on your stupid bendy buses theories???
To tell you the truth, bendy buses like Citaro Gs will totally destroy Singapore reputation for public transport instead, with all the spaces they take up and the jams they create!
Use double deckers better.
Specifics
EWL
1) Pasir Ris - Tanah Merah.
Tanah Merah to be the terminating pt from Joo Koon, using only 1 platform at any time. CGA sv may be suspended.
Bus bridging to operate between Pasir Ris & Tanah Merah, Tanah Merah & Changi Airport.
2) Tanah Merah - Paya Lebar.
Normal train sv run between Pasir Ris & Tanah Merah, Joo Koon & Aljunied. Bus bridging set to occur between Tanah Merah & Aljunied.
3) Paya Lebar - Tg Pagar.
Normal train sv run between Pasir Ris & Tanah Merah, Joo Koon & Outram Park. Bus bridging likely to occur between Tanah Merah & Outram Park.
4) Tg Pagar - Redhill.
Normal train sv run between Pasir Ris & Aljunied, Joo Koon & Queenstown. Bus bridging likely to occur between Aljunied & Queenstown.
5) Redhill - Jurong East
Normal train sv run between Pasir Ris & Outram Park, Joo Koon & Chinese Garden. Bus bridging likely to occur between Chinese Garden & Outram Park.
6) Jurong East - Boon Lay
Normal train sv run between Pasir Ris & Jurong East. Only 1 platform would be in ops for Jurong East at any time. Bus bridging likely to occur between Joo Koon & Jurong East.
Unless they throw 1 train out to ply between Joo Koon & Pioneer. So then the bus bridging would be Pioneer - Jurong East.
This method may be a lot more smoother for MRT ops turnaround.

Then why SBS NEVER used any DD for ANY mrt shuttle?????
NSL..
This one proves to be a headache esp the underground leg.
1) Jurong East - Choa Chu Kang
Normal train sv to run up to Yew Tee from Marina Bay. Bus bridging to operate between Jurong East & Yew Tee.
2) Choa Chu Kang - Marsiling.
Normal train sv to run between Jurong East & Bt Gombak, Marina Bay & Woodlands. Bus bridging to operate between Bt Gombak & Woodlands.
3) Marsiling - Sembawang
Normal train sv to run between Jurong East & Yew Tee, Marina Bay & Yishun. Bus bridging to operate between Yew Tee & Yishun.
4) Sembawang - Ang Mo Kio
Normal train sv to run between Jurong East & Woodlands, Marina Bay & Ang Mo Kio. Only 1 platform to be used at AMK at any time. Bus bridging to operate between Woodlands & Ang Mo Kio.
5) Ang Mo Kio - Marina Bay (This one has little choice, due to the location of Bishan Depot).
Normal train sv to run up to AMK from Jurong East. Only 1 platform to be used at AMK at any time. Bus bridging to operate from AMK to Marina Bay.
The other method would be this.. As like EWL, to throw out 7 trains into the tracks before the replacement.
5a) Ang Mo Kio - Braddell
Normal train sv to run between Jurong East & AMK, Marina Bay & Toa Payoh. Bus bridging to operate from AMK to Toa Payoh.
5b) Braddell - Marina Bay
Normal train service to ply up to AMK. Bus bridging to operate from Marina Bay to AMK.

Many of the train stations are so nearby, how to use ADD?
Seriously, bendies are no better for those who were at the site in Dec... The public buses had a hard time moving around when 3 or 4 bendies were at bus stops.
Eh
How come placed to train forum?
The specific is more over the bus layover, bus ops planning issue than the MRT
What the transport copmpanies need is to provide more buses to the service that link to city area. maybe has put in express service for those service that linked to city area. thank to the ex-ministers many bus serivce that provide a link to city removed or re-route because they were frighten the MRT system not making money. now it over loaded with people, thank to PAP "open house policy" to increase population here.
With so many break down and train travel below speed it time to over haul the tracks and may be the whole SMRT and SBST board of directors.

You see, you can have more bus svs to CBD area
But during the track overhaul period, you need to provide direct train replacement.
Anyway, people would have to expect your MRT system can't last forever as in the track equipments, one fine day it needs a overhaul.. with or without buses
How to find places for bus layover? lol
