Bayfront, Marina Bay MRT stations to open Jan 14

SINGAPORE: Two more Circle Line MRT stations will open for service next Saturday.
Train frequency at Bayfront and Marina Bay stations will be seven minutes during peak hours.
Train operator SMRT said during off-peak hours, commuters can take shuttle train services from Stadium, Nicoll Highway and Promenade stations to Bayfront and Marina Bay stations.
Out of five exits at Bayfront, four will link to the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort.

Promenade & Marina Bay Circle Line stations hit by track fault
SINGAPORE: SMRT train services between Promenade and Marina Bay stations on the Circle Line were hit by a track fault Thursday afternoon.
The train operator said on its Twitter site at about 12.30 pm that no trains were plying between those stations.
Service resumed at 12.40 pm.
SMRT said bus bridging services are still available.
Passengers can board SMRT Bus Service 106 at the bus stops outside Suntec City near Carrefour, and outside the entrance of Circle Line Bayfront station and Circle Line Marina Bay station for free.
Train services between Circle Line Dhoby Ghaut and Harbourfront were not affected.

Latest Circle Line disruption due to signalling equipment failure
SINGAPORE: Train services between Marina Bay and Promenade stations along the Circle Line was disrupted on Thursday at 12.08pm.
SMRT said the problem was due to a signalling equipment on the track that failed.
Train services resumed 32 minutes later.
SMRT provided free bus bridging services between the three affected stations during the disruption.
Passengers were also able to board bus service 106 at the bus stop outside Suntec City, and outside the entrance of Bayfront and Marina Bay station for free.
However, not many passengers were seen using the bus bridging services. The bus bridging services stopped at 1.35pm.
Singapore Civil Defence Force, the police and ambulance services were also activated during the disruption.
The Bayfront and Marina Bay stations officially began operations last Saturday. The two stations which link to the Promenade station, complete the Circle Line.
The train service between Circle Line Dhoby Ghaut and Harbourfront was unaffected.
Earlier this month, service for the Circle Line was delayed due to a signalling fault.
