  if he is repairing the ceiling, than there should be a ladder nearby when he fall down. than the area most likely will have some sort of barrier to prevent passenger from going near. and u mention about tools, if he is carrying tools with him, we should see spillage of spanners, screwdrivers, etc on the floor. we cant see any of those three in the 2 pictures above, so it is highly possible that the metal thing fell onto him

  This is my thinking, may be wrong...

  The ceiling access pt has to be somewhere else actually, judging by the height as I'd ever been there before.. Meaning they've to get there via concealed access pt..

  I mentioned before, even woodlands mrt station renovating and rebuilding to become the next smrt Xchange station.

   

  With so much construction works being carried out, they better step up on the safety at mrt stations.

  It's the stations not the tunnels. 

   

  Now that u mention it, can the underground stations cater to a 5 million population now?

   

  I am sure when they built the mrt years back, they did not think the population would go to 5 or 6 or 8 million in so short a time.
