SINGAPORE: The Circle Line train service was restored to its normal schedule at 11.45am, following a disruption earlier Wednesday.
Services on the Circle Line between Marymount and one-north MRT stations were disrupted at about 6am, due to a communication network problem.
About 1,400 passengers were affected.
Engineers,
who were sent immediately to the site to fix the problem, partially
restored train service at the affected stretch by 6.40am.
Bus bridging services were activated at 6.30am between Marymount and one-north stations.
Services were added at 7.35am between Serangoon and one-north MRT stations.
These services ended at about 1pm.
SMRT also informed commuters of the reduced frequency and alternative transport arrangements through the radio stations.
Commuters who could not complete their journeys due to the disruption can ask for a refund at any MRT station.
